The High Booster first appeared in Sonic Riders. It can be purchased at the shop for three hundred Rings from the beginning of the game.
The High Booster design in Sonic Riders is that of a longer-than-average white and red Extreme Gear, with the red color decorating the front, rear and left side of the gear in a manner similar to flames. It also have a rectangular, dark foot panel on the middle of its surface.
Abilities and traits[]
As a Board-type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, the High Booster is well-balanced in its attributes with average statistics with an average rate of fuel-consumption and is suited for general riding.
In gameplay, the High Booster can go much faster than any other Extreme Gear in the entire game and possesses extremely fast Air Boosts as well. Its drawback, however, is that it consumes half of the maximum Air capacity in its Air Tank when performing just one Air Boost, making it very difficult for the player to string together multiple Air Boosts.

The safety has been removed from this gear. Its speed is impressive, but can it be controlled?
The High Booster later reappeared in Sonic Free Riders. According to its profile, the safety functions on the High Booster has been removed following its redesign, possibly to prevent any possible slow-down function on it, though it makes it harder to control. It can be purchased from the shop for 150 Rings.
In Sonic Free Riders, the High Booster is given a slight redesign. In this game, the High Booster is shorter, but much more detailed. It is mostly colored red, with grey and yellow highlights running down the edges, and has two grey circular pads on the top surface, with a grey-and-black area that has grey flame-like markings on the side, between them. It also has thick red accents on the corners of the rear and has two small black and yellow areas on the front.
Abilities and traits[]
As a Board type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, the High Booster is well-balanced in its attributes with average statistics and is suited for general riding.
The High Booster keeps the same level of Air consumption when Kick Dashing in this game as it had in Sonic Riders. It can be equipped with up to two Gear Parts. However, the High Booster only gains 70% of the air it accumulates.
