Trivia[]
- Ironically, Maxine Lombard's voice Jane Fonda has long been acquainted with Mr. Burns physical inspiration Barry Diller. It was even noted in 1983 that Fonda's best-selling aerobics book Jane Fonda's Workout was published with Paramount-affiliated book company Simon & Schuster when Diller was serving as head of Paramount and that Gulf+Western's mistake in not acquiring the rights to book's 1982 VHS tape also aided Diller in gaining even more influence in then Paramount parent company Gulf+Western, with Diller creating a "leisure group" for the parent company and becoming, despite mainly serving at the time as head of Paramount Pictures, "one of the three key executives" in Gulf+Western altogether.https://www.nytimes.com/1983/08/28/business/barry-diller-s-latest-starring-role.htmlhttps://www.nytimes.com/1983/08/28/business/barry-diller-s-latest-starring-role.html Though not officially confirmed, Fonda may have had an intimate affair with Diller when she was still married to Tom Hayden.
- A mutated version of Charlie is seen at the power plant.
- This is the 12th episode that does not have the Couch Gag, Billboard Gag, and the Chalkboard Gag, likely because the episode was running too long.
- Despite being together at the end of the episode, Maxine has not been on the show since, nor shown to be in a relationship with Mr. Burns. This is likely due to her being played by guest actress Jane Fonda
