End of the Aizens I (愛染の終 I Aizen no Tsui I ) is the 60th chapter of the Shakugan no Shana manga series.
Margery went around inserting spells in the Pinions. Faced with the approaching Sydonay, Margery's timidness upset Satō and Tanaka. Earlier, Yūji had figured out the location of Orgel.
Summary[]
Margery was flying around following Satō and Tanaka's directions in order to find Pinions, and was inserting spells into them. There were only two or three Pinions left but Margery stopped as she felt Sydonay approaching. She would persevere against him and leave the rest to the "Burning-Eyed Brat" and the Mystes, as she didn't think she could escape Sydonay again. Satō and Tanaka complained that Margery was being timid and not like her usual cool self, and she thought that they should stop putting their expectations on her. Margery told them that she didn't know what she was doing or wanted to do, and had never felt anything for the Flame Haze mission. Satō asked if she would instead protect them and the city, but Margery felt nothing for that either. Marchosias dismissed the boys, as Sydonay had arrived. Margery turned her neck to dodge Sydonay's blast of flames. She was at a loss as to how to fight Sydonay, who had transformed into a manticore-like form, whereas he was looking forward to the fight.
Yūji was running down the river when he sensed that Sydonay had gotten to Margery. He knew that this was his best chance.

Margery agreeing to Yūji's plan.
Earlier, Yūji had told Margery that Orgel, the key to the siblings' Cradle Garden, was on the Misaki Bridge. His reasoning was that it was likely in the very center of Cradle Garden, and that Sydonay had returned there after fighting Margery. Yūji theorized that the siblings would order Sydonay to go after Margery when she started destroying Pinions, and during that time he would go to the bridge and try to find and destroy Orgel. Margery pointed out that she would be used as bait in his plan, so Yūji made an excuse that they wouldn't expect him as it was rare for a Mystes to be able to move within a Fūzetsu. Marchosias agreed that in her condition, it would look like Margery was running away, so she would make good bait. Margery agreed to the plan, but didn't want to just destroy the Pinions, as she wanted to get back at the young siblings for underestimating her.

Trivia[]
Cultural References[]
- One of the Pinions was a "young man in a gray jacket playing the piano", which is a reference to the plot of the 17th and 18th episodes of the TV show, Choukou Senshi Changéríon, which Shakugan no Shana author Yashichirō Takahashi often references. Unlike the light novel, this chapter changes the second mentioned Pinion that was on a footbridge from a "white-suited man", another reference to the same episode, to a "woman with a flashy pink skirt".
- The signboard on a building which read "Hanayagi Construction" and the bar called "B Wind" which a Pinion was inside both allude to the character Yūji Hanayagi from the seventeenth and eighteenth episodes of Changéríon. Hanayagi was the "young man in a gray jacket playing the piano" in episode 18, which was the description for the Pinion in the bar, and he transforms into his true form Dark Nobleman Dester by saying "Bloody Wind".
