Protrusion (
Summary[]
As Samejima grapples with the unexpected defeat of the assassins sent after Toramaru, he's puzzled by how it could have occurred. The incapacitated agents report that they were overwhelmed by assistance from an unexpected source, describing the intervening figure as "some random fat dude" whom they couldn't handle. Recognizing the description, Shin realizes with a start that this "random fat dude" is none other than Sakamoto.
Just as Shin begins to contemplate their next move now that reinforcements have arrived and they've successfully thwarted the bombing, he hears Natsuki calling out to him, signaling a new twist in the unfolding events.
As Natsuki briefs Shin on their plan to utilize invisibility once more, they both come to a startling realization: Shin's clairvoyant abilities may have ceased to function. The sudden absence of his precognition adds an additional layer of uncertainty to their already precarious situation.
Meanwhile, the perspective shifts to Sei Asaki, the chairman, who receives word of the recent assassination attempt. Unperturbed by the news, Asaki expresses his boredom and promptly decides to return home. Before departing, he is interrupted by the arrival of Erio Muto, a high-ranking executive from the JAA, adding a new element to the unfolding events.
Muto, secretly a double agent working for Slur, has been tasked with prolonging the chairman's stay in the museum. He informs Sei Asaki that the entrances have been sealed under the guise of capturing the terrorists, implying that it would be prudent for the chairman to remain a little longer. Despite Muto's persuasion, Asaki remains resolute in his decision to leave.
However, just as Asaki seems determined to depart, Nagumo intervenes at a crucial moment, enticing the chairman with the promise of a special collection within the museum. Intrigued by the prospect, Asaki agrees to accompany Nagumo to view the collection.
Left alone with Muto, Nagumo candidly reveals his awareness of Muto's true identity and his ulterior motives. Despite this knowledge, Nagumo assures Muto that he has no intention of harming him. In fact, he recognizes that keeping the chairman within the museum serves his own interests as well.
As Samejima moves closer to apprehend Sakamoto and Toramaru, a trio of Slur's assassins, comprising Gaku, Kumanomi, and Haruma, breaches into the museum. While Haruma swiftly deals with the guards, Kumanomi forges ahead. Upon encountering Samejima, Gaku confronts him, and in a shocking turn of events, Samejima is swiftly incapacitated as Gaku brutally beheads him with his bare hands. Nagumo then arrives just in time to witness the gruesome act, ready to engage Gaku in battle.
