Ungler Soldiers (アングラー兵 Angurā Hei), sometimes translated as Angler Soldiers, are black-skinned grunts with brown vines growing down from their heads. They are armed with a lance that has a gun, chain, or taser hidden in it. They pilot the Unglermon Fighters.
The under ground monster Garaga Doggler's blood could turn humans into Unglers and was quite possibly the originator of the race. They live on a special diet of underground mushrooms they need to survive and another monster Akame Doggler was in charge of harvesting.

The Ungler Soldiers appear in the clips from Hikari Sentai Maskman seen in the first episode of Kousoku Sentai Turboranger.
Combined Combatant[]
Combined Combatant
Several Ungler Soldiers were part of an army of past enemy grunts that were fought by the Gokaigers in Los Dark's ghost dimension which housed the 1500 spirits of the villains defeated by the Super Sentai. After losing some of their number in an initial skirmish, the remaining members from each grunt group merged to form the Combined Combatant. Though the stronger opponent, the Combined Combatant proved to be unstable due to internal conflicting among the grunts composing him over who got to finish the pirates off. Taking advantage, the Gokaigers used the Battle Fever J Ranger Keys to destroy the Combined Combatant with the Penta Force cannon.

They're very skilled Super Sentai standard foot soldiers that actually defeated the Rangers all by themselves in an early episode. They fought with staffs that contained guns and hidden electronic tectals that may or may not be a part of their bodies. Though once the Maskmen learn to tap more into their aura powers, they seem to be a serious threat.
