The Ugly Monster was a cycloptic amoeba-like monster that served as the main antagonist of the penultimate episode of Power Rangers Dino Thunder "A Test of Trust", which is also the second part of the four-part series final of Power Rangers Dino Thunder. He was Mesogog's final and most powerful monster to fight the Dino Thunder Rangers.
History[]
With Mesogog's newfound power which he gains after being separated from his alter ego Anton Mercer, he creates his last and most powerful monster dubbed the Ugly Monster and orders him to destroy the Dino Rangers at all costs.
After the Rangers discover that Trent Fernandez-Mercer has been hiding his father's secret, the Ugly Monster appears at the Reefside docks so all five Rangers deploy to fight him. The Ugly Monster is powerful, able to defeat all five Dino Rangers is battle and even the Triassic Ranger is defeated. The Ugly Monster is ready to finish the job but Trent stands in his way and uses his super speed to overwhelm the abomination. The Power Rangers combine their weapons to form the Z-Rex Blaster Super Mode to defeat him.
Using the energy from the attack, Mesogog activates the Replicantzord but the Thundersaurus and Mezodon Megazord destroy it together.
However, the Ugly Monster absorbs its energy to become bigger and stronger, allowing it to overpower the two Megazords with one blast. However, Trent forms the he DinoStegazord and the Ugly Monster is no match for the Megazord. With its DinoStegazord Stinger, the Ugly Monster was destroyed once and for all and face-plants before exploding.

The Ugly Monster was cold, argent, and took great pleasure in destroying the Dino Rangers.

- Self-Growth: The Ugly Monster could enlarge to giant size in a big flash of green energy.
- Teleportation: The Ugly Monster could teleport to any location at will.
- Energy Absorption: The Ugly Monster had the ability to absorb his enemies' energy to make himself stronger, as show when he stole the energy from the Blizzard Force Megazord after it was destroyed.
- Eye Blast: The Ugly Monster's primary ability where he could fire a red-pink energy blast from his single eye. This attack was devastating and could also hit in a wide spread, being able to hit all five Dino Thunder Rangers in a row.
- Lightning Vision: Upon growing, the Ugly Monster can also fire red colored lightning beams from his single eye. It's his most powerful attack since one blast took out the Thundersaurus and Mezodon Megazords out of the battle with a single blast.
Abilities[]
- Power: Being the final monster in Mesogog's army, the Ugly Monster was one of the strongest and most powerful monsters in Power Rangers Dino Thunder. He was so powerful that even Messogog admitted that this was his strongest monster of all, is strong enough to best all five Dino Rangers in battle, and became the only monster to be able to defeat Conner in his Triassic Ranger form.
- Strength: Being the final monster, the Ugly Monster has a great deal of strength and was powerful enough take on all five Dino Thunder Rangers in battle and best both the Thundersaurus and Mezodon Megazords in battle.
- Durability: The Ugly Monster has thick and durable skin that could take multiple beatings from the Thundermax Sabers and even the Triassic Ranger's fully energized Shield of Triumph finisher had no effect on him.
- Speech: The Ugly Monster monster was capable of speech although he lacks a visible mouth.

- Clawed Left Hand: On the Ugly Monster's left hand are four massive claws which can be used for combat and was able to stop the Triassic Ranger's sword with ease without getting injured.
- Electrocution Touch: The Ugly Monster could electrocute his enemies with red lightning from his claws on contact.
- Right Tail Arm Lance: The Ugly Monster's right arm was a long tail-like lance to swipe his enemies with.
- Extendable Arm Lance: The Ugly Monster could extend his arm lance to an incredible distance.

- The Ugly Monster had Izzy and Pupperazi's faces on his shoulders, this is because his Sentai counterpart was a fusion of their Sentai counterparts Creative Messenger Mikela and Visionary Messenger Voffa.
- In Abaranger, the Ugly Monster did not serve as the final Monster-Of-The-Week, that goes to Trinoid #1: Dragondoran as DezumoVoorla serves as the penultimate threat.
