This article is about an ally in Power Rangers Megaforce and Super Megaforce. |
- "Energetic and unstoppable. Don't say it."
- ―Tensou[src]
Tensou is a character in Power Rangers Megaforce. He is the technical assistant to Gosei and the new team of Rangers, similar to the Alpha robots. He and Orion are able to speak the same language, similar to Alpha 5 and Lerigot being able to speak each other's languages. It is possible Tensou is from Andresia (like how Alpha 5 is from Edenoi) because he can speak the same language as Orion.
History[]
Tensou laid dormant alongside Gosei until the Warstar aliens invaded Earth. He was tasked by Gosei to find five teenagers with attitude to become the new Power Rangers. TV STORY-Mega Mission
The Rangers celebrate their recent victory in the Command Center. They remember their fights against Creepox, Bigs, Bluefur, and a few of the monsters. Jake teases Tensou with the drink. TV STORY-The Messenger (episode)
Tensou is struck by lightning, develops amnesia, and wanders away from the Command Center. Gosei develops concern for his right-hand bot and orders the Mega Rangers to track him through the city, where a suspicious figure picks him up in lieu of his own oddly-similar-looking hardside case. From various locations, the Rangers attempt to swap the case for Tensou, and are successful. As it turns out, the figure is none other than the frozen yogurt machine mechanic, who has a rare part Ernie needs to fix a breakdown. Tensou's memory is restored following a hearty smack against a metal pole. Following Tensou's adventure, the Rangers give him a mirror to admire himself. TV STORY-The Perfect Storm

Behind the Scenes[]
Portrayal[]
- Tensou is voiced by Estevez Gillespie.

- His visual design is based on the twin NASA Mars rovers Spirit and Opportunity which were active on Mars between 2003 and 2018. While his energetic and excitable personality echoes Johnny 5 from the Short Circuit franchise.
Etymology[]
- The name Tensou (天装 ) heralds from Megaforce's Sentai source series, Tensou Sentai Goseiger. However, his name is pronounced Ten-soo as opposed to the Japanese Ten-soh.
Notes[]
- It should be noted that he is the first robot assistant to a Ranger team since Circuit from Time Force, though Alpha 6 was briefly reactivated to assist the incumbent team (and the Retro Rangers) in Operation Overdrive.
- He is able to play music from his body. TV STORY-Ultra Power
