Hyper Cutter (Japanese: かいりきバサミ, Hepburn: Hyper Scissors) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Eleven Pokémon have this ability.

The Pokémon with this ability's attack stat cannot be lowered by other Pokémon.

Generations	Description
Generation III	Prevents ATTACK reduction.
Generation IV	Prevents the Attack stat from being lowered.
Generation V	Prevents other Pokémon from lowering Attack stat.
Generation VI	Prevents other Pokémon from lowering its Attack stat.
Generation VII	The Pokémon's proud of its powerful pincers. They prevent other Pokémon from lowering its Attack stat.

Prior to Generation IV, when a Pokémon with Hyper Cutter uses the HM Cut on tall grass, it cuts an extra square of it around the player down.
