Drought (Japanese: ひでり, Hepburn: Drought) is an Ability formerly exclusive to Groudon, introduced in Generation III.

Summons sunlight in battle.
Generation IV[]
The Pokémon makes it sunny if it appears in battle.
Generation V[]
Turns the sunlight harsh if it is in battle.
Generation VI[]
Turns the sunlight harsh when the Pokémon enters a battle.
Effect[]
Generation III[]
Upon entering battle sunlight is summoned and lasts until replaced by another weather (e.g. via Drizzle summoning rain). If Drought or other weather changing abilities are on 2 Pokémon on the field, the slower Pokémon has its ability activate first.
Generation VI[]
Retconned so upon entering battle sunlight is summoned and lasts for five fixed turns (eight with a Heat Rock). It is also incapable of overriding the Weather Trio’s alternate form’ abilities introduced in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
