Summary[]
Yu considers that whenever he closes his eyes, he has the same dream. Promising that he will kill all the vampires, Yu is going to fight them. A vampire nearby asks him if he can do it. In response, Yu activates Asuramaru and announces that he gonna kill them all.
Continuing his monologue, Yu feels he can kill many vampires, but the dream will always be the same. This is a dream in which his best friend Mika dies at the hands of Ferid. Recalling it, Yu sees Mika telling him to run.
Waking up in class, Yu shouts out Mika's name loudly. While Yu realizes that it was a dream, the teacher notices it and asks why he dared to fall asleep in his class. After his name is called by the teacher, Yu apologizes. Students in the class begin to laugh at Yu, at which point Shinoa taps him on the back. After Yu asks her what happened, Shinoa replies that is her question.
Addressing that Yu screamed Mika's name, Shinoa questions if that name belongs to his ex-girlfriend. Yu loudly protests that Mika is not a girl and that Shinoa shouldn't care about his relationship. For that, Shinoa states she cares about it. Turning to another matter, Shinoa mentions that they invaded the school disguised as students to find the vampire who hid here. Shinoa begins to tease Yu and says that they haven't spent a day here, but Yu is already sticking out like a sore thumb because he was drooling in his sleep and was calling out to his dear Mika. Immediately, Yu counters that he doesn't drool. The teacher hears Yu raising his voice again so orders him to stand in the hallway with the buckets.
The bell sounds from the lesson. Walking out of the classroom, Shinoa sees that Yu was standing with the buckets for the entire lesson. Moving from her jokes, Shinoa questions if Yu has found a vampire. Denying having done so, Yu in turn wonders if Shinoa has found one but she hasn't. Detailing that there are two places under the control of humans: Shibuya and Shinjuku, Shinoa mentions further that both have demon army command centers, but Ikebukuro's defenses are thin, so a vampire will easily slip inside unnoticed.
After the disaster, when many people died, the demon army took control of Shibuya and began to eradicate the vampires. While Shinoa ponders the matter, Yu realizes that the vampire could be anywhere. When Shinoa asks how they should find the vampire, since the school is full of a pretty huge student body, Yu says that maybe he will meet an ugly vampire. Alternatively, Yu states perhaps he should start by killing all the infuriatingly attractive students. Accordingly, Shinoa begins to declare that like the most beautiful woman in school, that would make her the prime target, but Yu ignores her and tries to find such students.
Suddenly, Yu and Shinoa see a girl being bullied by a group of other students. The students question the style of her hair before raising they will shave her head. Observing, Yu says he sees a pretty girl with a vampire-grade bad attitude. Shinoa begins to tease Yu, but one of the students sees them. The girl, the leader of the group, comes up and asks if they want to stop her so she can stop teasing their newly transferred friend. Picking up on the word "transferred", Yu recalls that seven students have been transferred in the past six months. That the girl who was teased has been transferred, and has extremely pale skin, Yu pieces together that she is the vampire.
Yu says that he finally found the vampire and the girl confirms it. When Yu attempts to approach her, a male student interferes with him, to which Yu twists his arm. Although Shinoa reminds him not to harm civilians, Yu reveals he found a vampire. The vampire says that no one noticed her during this time and she needs to adjust her plans. Yu and the vampire start a fight. Yu promises to kill her, to which the vampire laughs at him.
When Shinoa says they are unarmed, Yu asks her to bring his sword, which is in class. The vampire attacks Yu and tries to drink his blood, but Shinoa returns and passes Yu the weapon. The vampire realizes that this is a cursed gear, yet Yu vanquishes her.
After Yu says it's over, Shinoa wonders how he discover her by accident. In thanking him for his habit of examining the face of every lady in such detail, Shinoa notes that helped them complete the mission faster with time to spare. Yu says she needs to work on the compliments, but Shinoa says that wasn't one. They proceed to take off their school uniforms under which they are wearing military uniforms. Since there are no more bloodsuckers here, Yu feels there is no reason in leaving them at school. The female student from before approaches them and asks who they are. Yu replies that it's a good question, but Shinoa teases him and he tells her to shut up.
Guren calls to Yu and Shinoa and tells them to quit playing around and get over here. Mitsuba is nearby, as are Yoichi and Kimizuki who greet Yu and Shinoa. The situation is Shinjuku is under attack by a large group of vampires. Guren says they must return to war, and to stop dawdling. When Yu objects that they just killed the bloodsucker, Guren pats him on the head. One of the students looks to them and knows that they are members of the Moon Demon Company who have a reputation of being capable of cleaning out an entire city of vampires.
The war begins and the soldiers are given orders. Yu and Mika are on two different sides of the war. Mika is with the vampire army and speaks for Yu to wait. He will be here soon to save him from filthy people. Yu says Mika's name and runs into battle. In this broken and devastated world the war between vampires, angels, demons and humans finally begun.
