9448 Samurai Mech is a Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu - Rise of the Snakes set that was released in May 2012. It includes Samurai X, Bytar, Snike, the Constrictai Fangblade, a Silver Battle Mace, two golden blades, and the Samurai Mech.

Designer's notes[]
I make a lot of Mechs for LEGO themes and so far this is the best one! It's a bit steam-punk, a bit high-tech and the biggest mech I've done too. I also included a lot of new parts, hopefully it'll be well liked.[2]
Trivia[]
- The symbols on the flag mean "reputation."
- The mech is extremely similar to the Ghost mech from 70737 Titan Mech Battle, that being because the mech from that set is a possessed version of this mech.
- A mini version of the mech was made for the LEGO Dimensions set, 71216 Nya Fun Pack.
- This set is similar to 9455 Fangpyre Mech, as they are both mechs and used in Rise of the Snakes. However, the Samurai Mech is much bigger and the Fangpyre Mech is a Serpentine vehicle.
- The set, 70665 The Samurai Mech, is a Ninjago: Legacy remake of this set.
- The blue cannon on the right shoulder is black in the show.
- Nya's phoenix symbol on the mech's chest is not present in the show.
- However, the symbol is present on the drawing of the Samurai Mech in Kryptarium Prison Blues.
- Excluding polybags and spinners, this is the first Ninjago set not to include a ninja.
- This is the only set to include Snike.
- This set appeared in The LEGO Movie when Emmett is talking to President Business.
