His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Killing over 50 innocent people in some of the most gruesome ways ever in any horror movie known. Such as ripping Jack Cracker's guts out and choking him with them till his head popped off and cutting in half then skinning Reverened Zombie.
- Killed many of his victims by ripping them apart with his bare hands.
- Has been killing since 1964 likely meaning his kill count could be hundreds if not thousands.
- Making his victims suffer by stalking and tormenting them, killing someone(s) close to them infront of them, and by giving them slow painful deaths. For example he killed a women's fiance infront of her then slowly chopped her up into pieces.
- Marybeth apologized for what she and her father did to him and offered him his father’s ashes, giving him a chance to redeem himself. However when he lunges in to take the ashes, Deputy Winslow mistakes it for an attack and shoots him at a panic. Victor then rises back up and kills Winslow and Mrs. Fowler out of rage.
- Ignored Mrs. Fowler's pleas and ripped her head off. Then tossed the decapitated head at Marybeath before picking her up and impaling her through a treebranch.
- Caused survivor Andrew Yang to be traumatized.
- Drowning a pregnant woman.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He does seem to have a tragic backstory where he was bullied due to being deformed and what happened to him and his father. But while his heinousness for killing innocent people made him look unsympathetic, it still holds some minor moments.
- He loves his father.
- He has moral agency issues due to being mentally insane, becoming a monstrous creature, being kept away from the public throughout his whole childhood, never having went to school and hadn’t been socialized. Therefore, he doesn’t fully understand what is and want isn’t reality. It’s also implied that he’s stuck in the night he died, which seems to imply that he thinks he’s only defending himself and/or avenging his father, which is also backed up the creator of Hatchet that he’s a scared ghost simply defending his home. It also doesn’t make it any better that he lost most of his humanity after becoming a monstrous being. It’s also clear that he still has a child-like mindset, as he still refers his father as “daddy”.
