Near Pure Evils whose fates are left ambiguous. Sometimes, this is due to the works they are in being cancelled prematurely, and sometimes it is due to the villain's fate not being touched upon again in a later part of a work.
Examples are shown below:
- The villain's fate was left unclosed and gets no comeuppance: The villain who was never seen again, and his/her ultimate fate is left unknown alongside of no longer encountering the heroes again (e.g. Roy Gribbleston, Alien Magma, Monaca Towa, Jedah Dohma, the Operator, Evil Jimmy Neutron, Alan’s Kidnapper, the Cave Spider Queen, Ryoba Aishi and Polly Roger).
- The series/show was cancelled: The creator claims that he/she would be retiring or cancelling the series, even if the villains are defeated (e.g. Mevia, Lord Dominator, Night Master, Google Chrome Chan, Shadow the Hedgehog, Protoboy and Freddy Fazbear).
- The villain no longer appears as a threat: After the last appearance of the villain where he/she was seen in and the later episodes they don't appear and they no longer encounter the heroes again (e.g. Dark Danny and Hidan).
- The villain does get defeated, but not imprisoned or killed, and what they do after their defeat is entirely left up to interpretation (e.g Jack Merridew and Flumpty Bumpty).
