"Shakedown" is a Star Trek Online short story by Christine Thompson, appearing in Star Trek Magazine #168 UK/#41 US. It was the second of 20 stories set in the STO continuity that were published in Star Trek Magazine between 2012 and 2016, the second of ten by Christine Thompson, and the second of 16 collected in Titan Magazines' STO omnibus: The Short Story Collection in 2022. It served to familiarize readers with the crew of the USS Enterprise-F and was a prequel story to the Star Trek Online mission "Boldly They Rode".

Summary[]

Lieutenant Jirelle Kav, Operations Manager aboard the Enterprise-F, attempts to persevere through operational difficulties in getting some of the ship systems online.
