Crush Crawfish, known as Scissors Shrimper (シザーズ・シュリンプァー) in Japan, is a crayfish-based Reploid in Mega Man X3. He is a faulty military project who was recruited into the Doppler Army.
Characteristics[]
Crush Crawfish has an elongated, red, crayfish-like body, including a pointed head and long antennae. His wide tail curls behind his back, and he wears a small blue pack on his back. His arms are both gigantic scissors modeled after the pincers of a crayfish.
Little is known of Crush Crawfish's personality. He was incredibly violent and uncontrollable due to a flaw in his AI, meaning he leaned towards being Maverick even before joining the Doppler Army.
History[]
Crush Crawfish was designed as a military combat Reploid. Due to a flaw in his AI, he was unable to tell enemy from ally and became uncontrollably violent. He was put into storage for maintenance, being forgotten at the back of a warehouse.[1] Once Dr. Doppler reawakened him, he took over a naval yard and watches his territory from within a submarine in the harbor. X infiltrated the harbor and destroyed him, gaining the Spinning Blade.
Strategy[]
Crush Crawfish does not have a complicated boss pattern, but deals enormous damage if the player messes up and gets hit. He is good at taking the player off of the wall, either by ejecting his claws or throwing boomerangs. Crawfish's weakness is Triad Thunder. To use it effectively, the player should climb onto a wall and use one of the bottom two thunderbolts to hit Crawfish.
Charge (突進 Tosshin)[2]

Crush Crawfish dashes towards the player. If he catches them, he will repeatedly snip them with his claw, forcing them to mash buttons to escape. With below half health, Crawfish may slam them into the wall instead for major damage.

Rockman X3 (manga)[]
In the Rockman X3 manga, Crush Crawfish was classified as a "trump card" who was meant to be used during Sigma's previous rebellion, but he was deemed too dangerous to utilize due to his imperfect thought patterns, and was scheduled to be dismantled by the military as a result. En route, he escaped from his containment unit and sliced the entire escort ship in half.
Three months later, he terrorized the world famous shipyard Ganda with his large scale battleship until X arrived and confronted him. The Reploid research team Dr. Cain sent to the area had been annihilated by Crawfish and the Maverick stated he wanted to add human sacrifices to the pile. Crawfish nearly overwhelms X in battle with his powerful claws and underwater agility, seriously injuring him. With quick ingenuity, X utilized the propulsion system of his downed Ride Armor Frog to increase his speed and catch Crawfish off guard, allowing him to land a near fatal Buster shot to his back. The shot blasts open the circuity at the back of Crawfish's head.
Shaken by this turn of events, Crawfish ordered his battleship to begin heavy fire on the populated city by the shipyard and takes a group of civilians hostage in the process. Confident that X will not fire on him with his human shields, he deployed the forces under his control to attack the Hunter. X, evading the rampaging Mavericks, made his way to the top of a control tower on the edge of the mainland. Out of Crawfish's line of sight, he took him down with a concentrated, laser-like Buster shot through the head just before the crazed Reploid was about to use his scissor blades on his captives. Before his body tumbled lifelessly into the sea, Crawfish was impressed with X's judgement, realizing he had not run away but rather had chosen a place to safely snipe the Maverick in his blind spot.
Rockman X Mega Mission 2[]
Crush Crawfish was revived by Tackione's Limited as Scissors Shrimper L. X destroyed him again, along with the other Limited Mavericks.
Archie Comics[]
Crawfish appeared in the Worlds Unite crossover event as part of Sigma-2's Maverick army, who fought with the Maverick Hunters, Freedom Fighters, and Robot Masters aboard the Sky Patrol before departing to invade another world. He also appeared on one of the variant covers for Mega Man #50.
