Banzai Beetle (バンザイビートル, Banzai Bītoru) is an Arm-type missile weapon that Vile obtains by defeating Launch Octopus and Storm Eagle in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. This weapon fires a winged missile forward. Range is at least a full screen width, and the player can rapid-fire this to have as many on the screen as they have Weapon Energy for. Even the wings on the missile can strike enemies, so the missile is very easy to hit things with. However, it is also very easy to accidentally hit a ledge or something instead of the player's intended target, since the missile cannot go through objects.

Banzai Beetle is Boomerang Kuwanger and Flame Mammoth's weaknesses.

Etymology[]

• Banzai Beetle's name refers to the Japanese battlecry "Tennōheika Banzai" (天皇陛下万歳, "Long live His Majesty the Emperor"), often shortened to simply "Banzai". It also refers to how the missile opens its wings like a flying beetle.
