The Gloomy Manor is a location in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD. It is the first mansion to be explored by Luigi.

Description[]

In the Gloomy Manor, Luigi will receive the Poltergust 5000, the Strobulb, and the Dark-Light Device. Also in this mansion, Luigi will receive the second piece of the Dark Moon. This mansion resembles the mansion in Luigi's Mansion.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon / Luigi's Mansion 2 HD[]

In Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, the mansion appears at the beginning of the game, Professor Elvin Gadd is working some inventions with some friendly Greenies. However, when King Boo destroyed the Dark Moon, the Greenies became hostile, forcing the professor to escape the manor. Luigi is called upon E. Gadd to locate the second Dark Moon piece.

Luigi retrieves, the Poltergust 5000, Strobulb and the Dark-Light Device, along with capturing ghosts along the way (including three Poltergeists).

Later, the whole manor becomes covered with spider webs, but they are soon removed by the ghost-catching plumber.

Luigi then heads to the Cellar to locate the source of the spider webs in the manor, only to fight a large, spider queen, who is possessed by the Grouchy Possessor.

After retrieving the second Dark Moon piece, fog is cleared to make way to the Haunted Towers, but ghosts have returned to the manor, but are soon cleared out.

A replica of the Gloomy Manor can be found on the Master Suite, the last floor of The Last Resort. It can only be examined once. A Golden Goob will appear after examining it.
