The Egg is a permanent item which appears in the Challenge Mode of Mario Superstar Baseball. It allows Yoshi to use Egg Ball in the mode. Like any other permanent item, the Egg can be purchased for 200 coins, although it can only be bought if Yoshi is either the team captain or if he has been recruited to the player's team.

As shown from its icon, the Egg has the appearance of a regular Yoshi Egg, but with an added golden outline.
