The Arrow Field is an object that only appears in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch and is a holographic sign either shown in red or green and shows the player which way they should turn.

Description[]

As their name implies, Arrow Fields are insubstantial fields of chevron shapes that point in the correct direction. Their main purpose is to dissuade someone from going down the wrong path. The chevrons are usually red, though depending on the course, their colours may vary, usually for visuality purposes.

In Mario Kart 8[]

The Arrow Field only appears in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass and was never included in the Wii U version.

Courses from Mario Kart Tour imported to the Booster Course Pass that take place in real-world cities have more than one route being traversed, so the racers will have to deal with Arrow Fields on their way through. Some courses in Mario Kart Tour that were not based on cities might also have Arrow Fields.

As Mario Kart Tour has a single route per layout per city course, routes that are not taken are blocked with fences rather than Arrow Fields.

The following courses have Arrow Fields, coming from Mario Kart Tour unless otherwise specified:
