~ Kingpin's game over quote if he kills Spider-Man during his boss fight

Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, is the secondary antagonist of the 2018 Marvel video game, Marvel's Spider-Man and a minor antagonist in it's 2020 spinoff, Spider-Man: Miles Morales. He is a businessman and crime lord who ruled over New York until he was arrested and sent to the Raft. Despite this, he still manages to run his criminal empire behind bars.

He was voiced by Travis Willingham.

What Makes Him Magnificent?[]

  • Is a powerful crime boss who for years managed to keep a tight grip on all of the other criminals. One of these criminal gangs was the Maggia crime family, who are among the most evil and disloyal criminal groups in the game.
    • To give an idea of how effective Kingpin was, Spider-Man specifically states that he is starting to miss Fisk since he was able to keep the more dangerous criminals under control.
  • Uses bombs so he can slow down the police and Spider-Man from arresting him.
  • Shoots down the police helicopters to prevent them from pursuing him while he escapes in his helicopter.
  • Managed to get several police officers under his control.
  • When Spider-Man confronts him in his office, Fisk hides behind some glass walls and activates his turrets to shoot at Spider-Man, which can catch new players off guard.
  • Is an incredibly good fighter with Fisk being stated to have trained with sumo wrestlers and can fight pretty well against Spider-Man.
  • Has his henchmen go undercover as normal civilians so he could have them attempt to take Spider-Man by surprise if they see him.
  • Bought a shipyard so he could use it to launder stolen art for his museum.
  • Uses his shipyard to hide his armory while using shipping containers to hide the entrance.
  • Uses his legitimate owned construction sites to still make a profit while he is imprisoned.
  • Lets other crime bosses like Hammerhead, Silvermane, and Tombstone take control of the streets while he jail so he can thin out the crowd showing his ability to plan
  • Was able to successfully beat previous charges about his criminal organization against him.
  • His men gather up guns so in an attempt to break him out of the Raft while blocking out police communications signals.
  • Tries to have his men upload a computer worm onto the NYC servers so he can harvest half of this city's data with the only reason this plan gets alerted to Spider-Man is because of an eagle-eyed bird watcher.
  • Has his men steal a data file from a police evidence truck detailing his crimes.
  • Has grown to be well respected in prison with the prisoners and guards respecting him. This also allows him to live life in jail rather comfortably with him being able to get whatever he wants.
  • Has his men try to shoot out the transformers at a power station so he could cause a blackout in a block in Harlem that would allow him to rob a bank.
  • Has his men shut down the water pipes leading to the F.E.A.S.T. shelter in North Harlem so he could get the property shut down and acquire it for real estate purposes and to increase crime in the area so he could control it.
  • Has his men rob several stores on the northeast Harlem block so he could ruin their business. In turn, he filed domain powers and had the city condemn the block so he could take it over.
  • Has a secret room built in his shipyard that details his plans, cash, ammo, photos of Miles, and a personal computer.
  • While he does try to kill off a park full of partygoers to get his revenge on Miles, this is not done out of petty spite but to show Miles why he shouldn't cross him.
  • Although he can be brutal towards his incompetent minions such as being heavily implied to kill one for simply getting a drink on the way while delivering an important shipment, he is also shown to be generous towards his henchmen if they perform well such as paying them so be isn't a completely bad boss.
    • He also asks Spider-Man to protect his men from the Demon gang in exchange for information on their leader, showing he does value his henchmen as well.
  • According to Peter, Fisk doesn't resort to taking hostages to get what he wants, meaning he has some standards.
  • It is heavily implied that Kingpin’s family exists in the Insomniac Spider-Man continuity and that he still cares for them since the password to his computer is "Vanessa", which is a reference to his wife, Vanessa Fisk.

What Makes Him a Baddie?[]

  • Is a crime lord in participates in all sorts of crimes like murder, corruption, smuggling, and theft.
  • Tries to have his men kill off the police to prevent his arrest
  • Detonates bombs throughout his penthouse to slow down the police, endangering the innocent civilians inside his penthouse.
  • Shoots down police helicopters so they can't catch him.
  • Has the corrupt bomb squad members that he controls try to kill Spider-Man.
  • Tries to kill Spider-Man himself by initially using the hidden gun torrents in his office only to then try to do it himself when Spider-Man uses them to break the glass wall he is hiding behind.
  • Has his men gone undercover to try to kill Spider-Man while out on the street.
  • Uses his legitimate construction business to hide his crimes of drug trafficking, arms dealing, and money laundering.
  • Buys a shipyard and fires the workers to smuggle art pieces for his museum.
  • Brutally beat Spider-Man while using brass knuckles.
  • Severely cut Spider-Man with his katana during their first encounter, almost killing him.
  • Is heavily implied to blackmail people.
  • Tries to have himself out of the raft with clear intent of using violence.
    • Also blocks out police communication signals to prevent his plan from being overheard.
  • Tried to upload a computer worm onto NYC's servers so he could steal its data.
  • Robs a police truck that contains a file detailing his crimes.
  • Has his men try to kill Spider-Man in public.
  • Tries to have his men rob a bank by having them destroy the transformers at the local power station so they could knock out the power in the block, making the bank easier to rob.
  • His men shut off several water pipes to the North Harlem F.E.A.S.T. shelter, leaving several homeless people on in the cold so he could take it over and increase crime.
  • Has several Harlem businesses robbed so he could put them out of business.
  • Had one of his men stalk Miles and take pictures of him.
  • Tries to get his revenge on Miles by attempting to kill off the partygoers at the park.
