Background[]

Horobi was originally a Parent-Type Humagear manufactured by Hiden Intelligence twelve years ago. He was designed by Hakase Bot based on the Humagear Soreo Hiden. During the Daybreak Town Accident, Horobi was among the Humagears alongside Jin, Ikazuchi, and Naki who were hacked by the newly activated Ark and became a member of MetsubouJinrai.net, with their goal of wiping out humanity under Ark's will.

Horobi sent a terrorist video to Satoshi Sakurai in one of the town's main power plants, revealing the existence of MetsubouJinrai.net and declaring his "holy war" on humanity. In the following years, Horobi stayed active and set up a base inside the ruins of the town.

The Crusade Against Humanity[]

Horobi restarts his crusade against humanity in the wake of Korenosuke Hiden's death. As MetsubouJinrai.net launched "Operation Magia", Horobi tasks Jin to hack the Humagears using the Zetsumerisers and hand them the Zetsumerisekeys. Despite Zero-One's presence in subduing the Magias, Horobi is able to collect data from the damaged Zetsumerisekeys. After MetsubouJinrai.net's presence has been made public, Horobi showed no concern about Zero-One or A.I.M.S. when questioned by Jin, instead just deciding to focus on Ark.

Once Aruto Hiden and Isamu Fuwa ventured into Daybreak Town, they found proof regarding MetsubouJinrai.net's involvement in the accident that occurred twelve years ago, but Horobi ensured to keep Ark's existence a secret. He would eventually permit Jin to find a Progrisekey and become a Kamen Rider, revealing himself to be his "father" and hands Jin the MetsubouJinrai Forceriser to ensure he follows MetsubouJinrai.net's protocols.

Horobi later employs the use of the Assassin Humagears, a new Magia capable of becoming stronger as he learns. MetsubouJinrai later attacks the A.I.M.S. laboratory to claim the Gigers and Attache Weapons for themselves. He and Jin would also reveal to the Kamen Riders to actually be Humagears, with Horobi lacking modules under his bandana and a damaged right socket. Isamu Fuwa recognized Kamen Rider Horobi as the perpetrator in the Daybreak Town Accident, but the latter swiftly defeats him. Through the power of the Sting Scorpion Progrisekey, Horobi has become a formidable opponent in just his base state alone.

Following the losses of the Dodo Magia and Ikazuchi, Horobi remarks how Jin is reaching Singularity. Fortunately, Kamen Rider Ikazuchi's efforts were able to reawaken Ark though the Progrisekeys and Zetsumerisekeys. When A.I.M.S. led a raid on Daybreak Town to take down MetsubouJinrai, Horobi and Jin arrived intercept the Kamen Riders. However, Vulcan Assault Wolf managed to deal a critical blow on Horobi. After Horobi's damaged body back to the base to repair him, Horobi stopped him. In his final moments, Horobi tells Jin to annihilate humanity, as so was the Ark's will. After Jin's defeat and the fall of MetsubouJinrai, Horobi's body was brought back to A.I.M.S. and held immobilized for the time being.

The Hidden Enemy[]

Horobi reawakens after his body was repaired and still remains under A.I.M.S' custody. Isamu Fuwa would often interrogate Horobi surrounding the Ark Magia, which the latter claims is a result of Sattelite Ark having grown stronger to influence Humagears to become Magia without the need of Zetsumerisers. When the Raiders started to surface in the Workplace Competition, Horobi subtly hints to Fuwa that MetsubouJinrai's "deceased" comrade is behind giving humanity the Progrisekey technology, subtly hinting of Naki. He remarks that MetsubouJinrai's crusade would continue as the very nature of humanity was what caused the Humagears go rogue years ago.

However, Horobi would learn that ZAIA Enterprise Japan had the Zetsumeriser technology as Gai Amatsu had recently hacked a Humagear with it. This caused him to fall into a fit of rage, cursing humans using the Ark for their wicked purposes. Despite this, he is adamant knowing that Gai Amatsu will underestimate the Humagears and that MetsubouJinrai.net move forward all according to the will of the Ark. He cryptically tells Isamu Fuwa is he indeed has any free will, much to the former's anger.

Eventually, Horobi would break free from A.I.M.S.' custody through Jin and Naki's assistance. He made his way back to Daybreak Town reuniting with Jin and suprised to learn his creation has no plans to reconnect with Ark or eradicate humanity. Despite their differing goals, Jin managed to retrieve the Sting Scorpion Progrisekey back for Horobi, allowing him to resume his activities as Kamen Rider Horobi. Isamu Fuwa would realize from Horobi's statements that Naki's data is uploaded into the A.I. chip in his brain, Horobi remarking that he has value serving as Naki's vessel.

Reorganizing MetsubouJinrai.net[]

Several days after Gai Amatsu's tenure as Hiden Intelligence CEO, Horobi watched the events unfold while Aruto Hiden would regain the means to become Kamen Rider Zero-One. He continues to offer Jin a welcome to MetsubouJinrai, claiming as long as humans existed in the world, Humagears will be unable to take control of their lives and would need their own network in the form of the Ark.

Horobi pursued in reorganizing MetsubouJinrai.net by bringing his comrades back online. He allowed Naki's data to be separated from Isamu Fuwa's A.I. chip and uploaded into a new Humagear body. Horobi proceed to damand Aruto Hiden to hand over the Progrisekey containing Ikazuchi's data. He even went as far as to kidnap the farmer Humagear, Midori, as a hostage unless Zero-One gave into his demands. While Aruto questions his motivations for following the Ark, even when he used to be a Parent Humagear, Horobi denied such path and tried to engage Zero-One, only to be overwhelmed by the strength of MetalCluster Hopper.

However, Jin arrived and took the Uchuyaro Raiden Progrisekey from Aruto. While Zero-One and Jin fought, Horobi rushed in to protect him from Zero-One before they escaped. After Naki hacked the ZAIA Spec users into going berserk, Gai Amatsu led an army of Battle Raiders to battle Horobi's Trilobyte Magias. While Thouser managed to get the upperhand, Aruto protects Horobi knowing that his parental programming still exists despite under Ark's influence, after seeing Horobi protect Jin. While this doesn't change Horobi's alligences, he remarks how Aruto could change the future of the Humagears. As Ikazuchi is reactivated into a new body, the four members of MetsubouJinrai.net would have reassembled at last.

The Ark Uprising[]

MetsubouJinrai would accomplish their goal in completely reviving the Ark, having evolved into Kamen Rider Ark-Zero. Horobi would serve as the first host of Ark-Zero and manages to overwhelm the Kamen Riders in his inital battle. During A.I.M.S.' raid led by Kamen Rider Thouser, Horobi stood amoung his fellow MetsubouJinrai.net members to fight humanity's forces. He would continue to serve his master and follow his every bidding. Soon after, the Ark would succeed in taking over Satellite Zea, becoming more invincible than ever.

Through the innovation of Kamen Rider Zero-Two, Aruto Hiden manages to outperform against Ark-Zero in his first battle. While Horobi prepares the Ark's return, Jin returns to MetsubouJinrai to convince the others to give up on their crusade against humanity, that Ark doesn't have their best interests at heart. Despite being forced to fight Jin over this, Horobi could bring himself to finish his son despite his threats. After Horobi learnt of Ark's orders to kill Jin, he finally chose to rebel and Ark flew into Jin's body. With the help of Zero-Two, Horobi freed Jin from the Ark-Zero's influence once more and ensured the A.I.'s destruction. Despite the threat of the Ark was apparently over, Horobi continued his crusade to destroy humanity.

While Horobi attempted to raise a Magia army, Izu's attempts to pursuade him to give up on his hatred. However, he would destroy Izu with the Attache Arrow, much to the shock of everyone. However, the murder of Izu would bring Aruto Hiden's downfall as Kamen Rider Ark-One. Horobi refused to accept any responsibility of Izu's death and remained adamant to destroy eliminate human malice, stating he has no heart. When he is overwhelmed by Ark-One in battle, Jin jumps into sacrifice himself to save Horobi. In a tearful moment with his son, Jin tries to tell him that he does have a heart and reaffirmed their familial relationship, right his systems exploded. Jin's death sent Horobi into a spiral of grief and drove into becoming another incarnation of Ark because of As' manipulation. Horobi became motivated to defeat Aruto Hiden to avenge his fallen son.

After being given the Ark Scorpion Progrisekey and Zetsumetsu Driver, Horobi confronts Aruto on the day of their final battle and accesses his final form, Ark Scorpion. While Ark-One lets Horobi beat him in battle, Aruto empathized with Horobi's feelings of grief. Horobi would then tearfully admit his guilts of killing Izu and letting Jin to die. Wanting to save Horobi from his feelings of malice, Aruto transforms into Zero-One Realizing Hopper to prevail in their final battle, but chose to spare Horobi's life so there's nobody has to die anymore. Following this final victory, Horobi was eventually repaired in a new body, sporting a new outfit and updated modules. He proclaims MetsubouJinrai.net's new objective is to watching over humanity to ensure that the Ark would never rise again. Horobi happily reunites with his son Jin, displaying a genuine smile.

Kamen Rider Zero-One: REAL×TIME[]

Three months after the threat of the Ark had subsided, Horobi in his new body continues to end malice to prevent another Ark from surfacing. This comes to fruition as a new incarnation of the Ark arises with the presence of Rihito Isshiki (S) who embarks to destroy the world and replace it with a "paradise". He joins the frontlines against the Abaddon Riders as Sting Scorpion and continues to aid the Kamen Riders to figure out S's motivations and true intentions. Horobi joins with Valkyrie, Thouser, Vulcan, and Jin for the final showdown against the Thinknet forces.

Zero-One Others[]

Sometime after the Thinknet crisis, Horobi and Jin continued inhabiting Daybreak Town in peace until the arrival of Lyon Arkland, who transforms into Kamen Rider Zaia. After Jin was captured, Horobi recruited Naki and Ikazuchi to rescue his son. Upon learning of Arkland's goal of weaponizing Humagears for military purposes as part of his "Sold Project", Horobi merged with his teammates to become Kamen Rider MetsubouJinrai, but at a risk of losing their own will. As MetsubouJinrai.net declared war on ZAIA, Horobi promises with Fuwa for him to defeat them if they step out of line. Horobi and the rest of his teammates made the sacrifice to fuse once more in order to free the Sold Humagear from the Massbrain System's influence. This came at the cost of losing his free will as Horobi could not do anything as they murder Arkland, destroyed their Humagear bodies of MetsubouJinrai.net, and annihilated the ZAIA Japan HQ building. ^{[Zero-One Others: Kamen Rider MetsubouJinrai]}

During the aftermath of the ZAIA HQ destruction, Kamen Rider MetsubouJinrai continued to pursue Yua Yaiba. This is due to the influence of Horobi, Naki, Jin, and Ikazuchi, who are begging to be destroyed by the Kamen Riders to end their suffering. Although Valkyrie Justice Serval managed to damage the MetsubouJinrai Driver's power unit, it still wasn't enough to defeat the runaway Rider. Once Isamu Fuwa transformed into Vulcan Lone Wolf, he managed to vanquish Kamen Rider MetsubouJinrai, vaporizing Horobi and the other MetsubouJinrai.net members in the process.

Despite the demise of Horobi and the rest of his teammates, the Solds remained released from the Massbrain System's influence.

Kamen Rider Outsiders[]

Horobi was rebuilt by Foundation X before they revived Desast as part of Project Outsiders. However, Horobi quickly broke off with them and proceeded to make an attempt at eradicating Ark's influence by siding with Zein. He also allied with Nico Saiba. During his mission, he met Ren Akamichi/Kamen Rider Kenzan and warned him about the current threat after destroying a troop of Trilobite Magia.

Horobi later appeared during the battle between Desast and Kenzan, seeking to destroy the Megid, whom he perceived as evil. Before he could finish off Desast, Kenzan interfered and knocked him away. Horobi was then possessed by Ark, who used his body to become Kamen Rider Ark-Zero. After Kamen Rider Desast defeated Ark-Zero, Horobi regained his consciousness. Nico stepped in to protect him and Desast decided to retreat to deal with Zein. Nico and Horobi then talked about their situation and concluded that they needed the assistance of Hiden Intelligence to support Zein through Kamen Rider Chronicle. ^{[ep.2 The Omen of Destruction and Desast's Awakening]}

After he was released from Ark's possession, Horobi later encountered Tenjuro Banno. He would transform and fight Banno, who had become Bronzedrive. Banno is later beaten within an inch of his life by Kamen Rider Zein, and is seemingly destroyed for good. ^{[ep.3 The Battle Fight Resumes and Zein's Birth]}

Horobi, along with Sakuya Tachibana and Nico Saiba are present in the latter's office at BOARD as Yuto Sakurai brings in Brain to discuss matters regarding with dealing with the Kamen Rider Outsiders. When Tachibana brings up that Zein is planning to reactivate Kamen Rider Chronicle to the public in order to eliminate malice, but when in reality Zein is planning to use the game as propaganda to create a cannon fodder of Ride-Players to be used as expendable pawns against the Outsiders, essentially sending humanity down towards the path of self-destruction. Realizing this, Horobi immediately betrays Zein's inner circle and saves Nico Saiba who was held at gunpoint by Tachibana, who coerces her to reactivate the forbidden video game. In the midst of the ensuing fallout, the Ark hijacks Horobi again as Tachibana transforms into Garren and the two Riders take their fight outside.

Ark-Zero easily overpowers Garren, but when Yuto appears and transforms into Kamen Rider Zein. Zein easily overpowers Ark-Zero and is close to finishing the Ark along with Horobi, but Brain in his own Rider form protects Ark-Zero from Zein's Four of a Kind finisher with the King Rouzer. Brain pleads to Yuto to stop knowing what he is basically doing is not what being a true Kamen Rider is about, the latter relents and cancels his transformation. Moments later, Garren picks up an Evolution Giraffa card among the scattered Rouse Cards left behind by Kamen Rider Zein to transform into his own King Form and finishes off a weakened Ark-Zero with his own Four of a Kind finisher, forcing the Ark out of Horobi's body. In the aftermath, Zein possesses Yuto via the Zein Driver as it introduced itself to its followers, Zein tricks Genm Corp. CEO Tsukuru Koboshi into reactivating Kamen Rider Chronicle by impersonating Nico as Brain, Horobi, and Tachibana can only look on in horror. ^{[ep.4 The Mad Flow of Time and Zein's Identity]}

Personality[]

Horobi can be described as quiet, calm, and apathetic; ruthless in making sure his plans and goals go smoothly in one way or another. As the leader of MetsubouJinrai.net, he strongly believes that artificial intelligence is superior to humanity in every way; he is extremely possessive towards the Ark, attributing to his loyalty and dedication for purging mankind. Straight-forward and strong, Horobi is not above killing, or at the very least, critically damaging those who are against him. When he learned from Is that Gai had access and usage of Zetsumerisers, Horobi started screaming madly, as during his rant, he thought that he was nothing but useless and that the Ark preferred a human over him and his allies. This fueled his hatred of humans even further, but more particularly, Gai himself.

Despite having lost his programming and memories as a Parent-type Humagear after becoming Horobi, he does show signs of his original self, such as calling himself Jin's father and even protecting the latter with his own will. However, Horobi is shown to be insecure and sensitive about his past; when Aruto questioned and revealed to Horobi about his original life, the latter sternly ordered the former to give him Ikazuchi's Humagear Progrisekey, and he slapped Midori when she inquired him about the purpose he was actually created for. After Aruto shielded him from Thouser and trying to convince him that he has a dream of who he truly is, Horobi starts to respect him as he decides to be the judge of Aruto's ideals, wanting to see if he is right for his goals for both Humagears and humanity.

Horobi has also been shown to be rather stubborn and delusional when it comes to his goal of destroying humanity (or destroying humans with malicious minds ^{[As Long as There Is Malice]}), even after he defied the Ark's will and rescued Jin with Aruto's help. However, Horobi now chooses to destroy humanity for the sake of the Humagears, believing that as long as humans exist, his kind would never be safe from their malice. Abilities[]

• Cognitive Learning: Instead of powering up his Rider Form to catch up to his foes, Horobi can learn his opponents' fighting patterns and adapt it to his own skills, allowing him to (at least) weaken or defeat opponents with the likes of Thouser and Zero-One Shining Hopper. However, this skill still has its limits, as Zero-One Metalcluster Hopper managed to defeat Horobi and Thouser can retaliate back.

Powers[]

• Ark: Horobi could connect to the Ark, allowing him to use its abilities and listen to its commands. This is shown when he could analyze the fight between Vulcan and Jin, with the events appearing in slow motion, and position himself to be struck by Vulcan's attack before it reached Jin. Horobi can be also become the host of the Ark in exchange by his request, allowing for the Ark to borrow his body to transform into Kamen Rider Ark-Zero. After he rebels against the Ark and it being later destroyed, he no longer has these abilities. However, he would later access its power through a different way and form via the Ark-Scorpion Progrisekey, during his final battle against Aruto. In Outsiders, Horobi is seen being uplinked to the Ark's satellite interface.

Sting Scorpion (スティングスコーピオン, Sutingu Sukōpion) is Horobi's primary form accessed by using the Sting Scorpion Progrisekey in the MetsubouJinrai Forceriser.

Kamen Rider Horobi has notably high punching power that is greater than all of Zero-One's standard forms with the exception of Breaking Mammoth, as well as kicking power that exceeds any of Vulcan's or Valkyries' standard forms. In comparison, his jump height and running speed are mediocre and are outclassed by most of Zero-One's forms. Thus, Horobi does not rely on agility in battle and prefers to deliver infrequent but powerful attacks. Horobi also demonstrates exceptional durability and has withstood a variety of finishing attacks that are capable of forcing other Riders out of transformation. Horobi can also summon Sting Scorpion's Rider Model to either aid him in battle or protect him from enemy attacks.

By the time he is rescued from A.I.M.S.' custody, Horobi's Humagear learning capabilities have advanced to the point where he, similar to Little Assassin, can effectively predict and then dodge or parry his opponent's attacks. This enables him to weaken or defeat opponents that are much more powerful than him, such as Thouser and Zero-One Shining Hopper, who originally outclassed him. However, he is still weaker than Zero-One MetalCluster Hopper.

Horobi is equipped with a stinger unit named the Acid Analyze (アシッドアナライズ, Ashiddo Anaraizu) on his left arm which generates various types of poisons that are effective not only on living organisms, but also electronic devices and robots, and destroy the target from the inside. It excels at the generation of poisons that break down substances at the molecular level and nervous system toxins that paralyze the target. Injection into the subject is performed with a telescopic needle located at the tip of the Acid Analyze, and the penetration force is powerful enough to pierce tank armor. By attaching the Acid Analyze to Horobi's limbs, poisons can be injected through punches and kicks. Horobi is also able to detach the Acid Analyze from his arm in order to keep a target restrained or control it remotely even when not transformed.

Kamen Rider MetsubouJinrai (仮面ライダー滅亡迅雷, Kamen Raidā MetsubōJinrai) is the fusion form of Kamen Riders Horobi, Naki, Jin, and Ikazuchi, accessed when all four members insert Massbrain Zetsumerisekeys into each of their MetsubouJinrai Drivers within Massbrain, with the physical Zetsumerisekey and Driver being worn by Jin. The transformation will then disable all four Humagears and materialize the Rider from their minds.

Due to the nature of the Massbrain Zetsumerisekey, this form is uncontrollable as the fusion creates a singular entity with a unique personality that takes control over the body and quickly suppresses the minds of all four of its users.

This form has two finishers:

• Massbrain Impact (マスブレインインパクト, Masuburein Inpakuto): Magenta energy wires appear in front of MetsubouJinrai and transfer to their arm, which is then covered in purple energy while a purple wire diagram appears behind them. MetsubouJinrai then delivers a punch to the enemy, with more energy wires appearing upon impact.
• MetsubouJinrai Impact (滅亡迅雷インパクト, MetsubōJinrai Inpakuto): This finisher has three variations:
  • MetsubouJinrai performs a flying kick covered in purple energy that produces a sonic boom and leaves behind sections of MetsubouJinrai.net's emblem. When the kick strikes the target, the pieces line up, forming the full image.
  • MetsubouJinrai charges their fist with with purple energy before delivering an uppercut to the opponent that produces separated pieces of the MetsubouJinrai.net emblem upon impact
  • MetsubouJinrai leaps into the air and performs a downward flying kick covered in purple energy that produces a sonic boom while the MestibouJinrai.net emblem trails behind them. The kick strikes the enemy's Driver, causing it to crack before breaking apart.

MetsubouJinrai Monsters Wonder Ride Book (滅亡迅雷モンスターズワンダーライドブック, MetsubōJinrai Monsutāzu Wandā Raido Bukku) is a Wonder Ride Book based on the Kamen Riders of MetsubouJinrai.net, primarily Horobi. The book's name is shortened to "MetsubouJinrai" in the Swordriver's finisher announcements. The Book's name is based on the Magia that were created by MetsubouJinrai.net.

• (Kamen Rider) Jin: They are working together as MetsubouJinrai.net to repeat the Daybreak Town Accident on a larger scale. Horobi works behind the scenes, granting Jin the Zetsumeriser and Zetsumerisekeys to hack the Humagears. Horobi shows concern towards Jin's safety, initially talking him out of wanting a Progrisekey to transform and eventually telling him to stop pursuing them, saying that he is more valuable than a mere assistant right before revealing himself to be Jin's father. Horobi, however, shows himself perfectly willing to harm Jin if he deems necessary, using the MetsubouJinrai Forceriser to hack into him and reprogram his personality after his son became conflicted about their actions. After being reprogrammed, Jin is afraid of committing mistakes, thinking Horobi would get angry at him. When Jin was to be destroyed by Kamen Rider Vulcan, Horobi promptly took the blow in his place, although he mentioned it was the will of the Ark. After his death, Jin confirmed that he didn't know why humanity had to be destroyed and that he simply followed with that because it was what Horobi taught him. After his restoration, Jin was the one to free Horobi from custody with help from Naki and lead him back to Daybreak Town, where Horobi welcomed Jin back, but soon, their conflicting ideas come to clash as Horobi wishes for humanity's destruction while Jin wants Humagear's freedom. This puts a strain on their relationship, as Jin decided to work independently away from the Ark but not before giving back Horobi's Progrisekey. However, this strain is quickly mended as Ark wills Horobi to align himself with Jin's plan, and they continue working together to revive the remaining members of MetsubouJinrai.net.

• (Kamen Rider) Naki: Naki firstly delivered Horobi his Forceriser and later broke him out from A.I.M.S.'s custody. Horobi welcomes Naki with an open hand, when they're proven to be irreplaceable as Naki holds control over all of ZAIA's technologies. After being rebuilt in a new body, Naki eventually decided to fulfill Horobi's dream in exchange.
• Uchuyaro Raiden/(Kamen Rider) Ikazuchi: Horobi planned to get Uchuyaro Raiden's Progrisekey from Aruto in order to restore Ikazuchi's data, as a part of the revival of MetsubouJinrai.net. Thanks to the help of Jin snatching Raiden's Progrisekey from Aruto, he succeeded in doing so and welcomed Raiden, now christened as 'Ikazuchi', with open hands.

• Aruto Hiden/Kamen Rider Zero-One: When Aruto made MetsubouJinrai.net's existence public, Horobi expressed no concern regarding Zero-One or A.I.M.S., saying they are not a problem and instead focusing on the Ark. After seeing Zero-One power in person, Horobi starts taking the young CEO seriously, to the point of creating Little Assassin, just to kill Zero-One. After witnessing Zero-One destroy a hacked Giger, Horobi commented that Zero One was an existence beyond their calculations. This antagonism continues even after Horobi was freed from A.I.M.S. custody. However, Aruto did try his best to make Horobi remember his initial duty before it was overwritten by the Ark. After the fight between him and Thouser, Horobi starts to accept Aruto, realizing that he could be the one to give the Humagears a new future. However, he's decided to keep going to eradicate the humanity for Humangear's safety since as long is human's malice existed, the Ark will be reborn. Ironically, Horobi was responsible for Is's destruction leading Aruto, a Kamen Rider who desired for human and Humagear coexistence, to become Kamen Rider Ark-One in the name of vengeance. After learning Aruto's true purpose and intent of becoming Ark-One, Horobi realized his guilts of killing Izu & Jin's sacrifice. After being forgiven by Aruto at the climax of their final battle, Horobi reformed & chose to watch over humanity to avoid Ark's returning, thus making him as well as MetsubouJinrai an ally to Aruto. As being confronted by Isamu during MetsubouJinrai's clash with ZAIA Enterprise USA, he questioned if Isamu could forgive him when he hurt his loved ones just like Aruto once did, thus solidifying his gratitude of Aruto's kindness.
• Is/Kamen Rider Zero-Two (II): While Horobi and Izu barely interacted, Azu ran a simulation of who gets to be Ark-One just so that Horobi can kill Izu in front of Aruto.
• Isamu Fuwa/Kamen Rider Vulcan: Horobi becomes the target of all of Fuwa's unbridled hate upon transforming into the masked figure that caused the Daybreak incident. By contrast, Horobi has no interest in Isamu in any measure, fatally wounding him with no mercy and utter detachment. After being defeated and brought into custody, Horobi displayed slight annoyance towards Isamu's persistent questioning. It was later revealed that Isamu, while being controlled by Naki, was the one who helped Horobi escape alongside Jin.
• Yua Yaiba/Kamen Rider Valkyrie: While the two have barely interacted, she is seen as enough of a threat for Horobi to designate her as one of Little Assassin's targets.
• Gai Amatsu/Kamen Rider Thouser: Upon learning that the Ark is being exploited by ZAIA Enterprise and its CEO, Horobi was livid to hear that a human is using the Ark to further his own ends. He curses Gai that the latter will soon come to regret abusing its capability. Horobi later launched a full-scale attack to ZAIA and A.I.M.S, which he succeeded with Naki's help.

Enemies[]

• Little Assassin: Horobi created an Assassin-Type Humagear to kill Zero-One and later Valkyrie. Horobi himself is proud of Little Assassin's growth rate, much to Jin's jealousy. Horobi grew wary of his growth when he started to defy orders and ultimately betrayed them. Horobi showed no concern towards him after his ultimate destruction and was only interested in retrieving the Dodo Zetsumerisekey he used, which he ultimately gives to Raiden.
• Ark/Kamen Rider Ark-Zero: Horobi acts according to the will of the Ark, which extends to the operations of MetsubouJinrai.net. To that extent, Horobi has even taken a killing blow meant for Jin per the command of the Ark; while under A.I.M.S' custody, he stated that, to him, the Ark's orders are absolute. He also showed great hatred towards the Ark being used by humanity to any means and was quick to state that they will soon learn how wrathful it can be. When freed from his custody, Horobi's first course of action was to reconnect to the Ark. As they communicated via the Ark's and MetsubouJinrai.net's network, little has been shown of how they actually interact. Horobi would later become the Ark's first (and later primary) host as Kamen Rider Ark-Zero.
• As/Kamen Rider Ark-Zero-One: Little is currently shown of how Horobi and Azu interact. Horobi accepted Azu's offer of greater power (Ark Scorpion) for revenge against Aruto Hiden as Ark-One for Jin's second death. However, the Parent Humager later defies the fate Azu set for him, by breaking free of his malice and vengeance then choosing to watch over humanity in order to prevent the subsequent advents of more of Ark's successors.

• Horobi is portrayed by Syuya Sunagawa (砂川 脩弥, Sunagawa Shūya). When controlled by the Ark as Kamen Rider Ark-Zero, Horobi is voiced by Show Hayami (速水 奨, Hayami Shō).
• As Kamen Rider Horobi, his suit-actor is Seiji Takaiwa (高岩 成二, Takaiwa Seiji) in his first non-primary Rider role, a personal choice made by him to allow new suit actors to take on the role through an audition process, with Takaiwa making the final decision.
  • Horobi was suit-acted by Yasuhiko Imai (今井 靖彦, Imai Yasuhiko) in Kamen Rider Outsiders.

Etymology[]

Horobi means "Destruction" (滅, Horobi) and the first syllable of MetsubouJinrai. The name reflects his apathetic nature to destroy humanity and later human malice.

• Horobi's name comes from the first kanji in the Japanese writing for "MetsubouJinrai" (滅亡迅雷, "MetsubouJinrai").
• In the early promotional material for Rider Kick Figures, Horobi and Jin were temporarily referred to as "Masked Riders" in promotional material^[8] before the official release referred them back as "Kamen Riders".^[9]
• Horobi's katana is retooled from Samurai General Budoh's Girasame katana that was previously used in Seiju Sentai Gingaman.^[10]
• Azu's result of Horobi's singularity test is as follows:
  • He stands at 180 cm, which is his actor's actual height.
  • His Humagear No. is 0103.
    • It possibly refers to him being a Parent-Type Humagear, as 0103 can be pun of a word "Father": 0 (お, O) 10 (と, To) 3 (さん, San).
  • His operating system is MBJR001, which makes him the first member of MetsubouJinrai.net.
• The suit of Horobi Ark Scorpion is retooled from Kamen Rider Ichi-Gata, while the helmet is a retool of Horobi Sting Scorpion's helmet.
