Luxu, also known as Xigbar, the Freeshooter, is the second member of Organization XIII and the secondary antagonist of the Kingdom Hearts series, acting as one of the secondary antagonists of Kingdom Hearts II , Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, and a major antagonist in Kingdom Hearts III.
Though his history with Sora was short, Xigbar had a much longer history with Master Xehanort and Keyblades in general as he saw Sora to be nothing compared to three Keyblade users he encountered through his original self Braig ages ago.
Kingdom Hearts III reveals that he is the current vessel of Luxu, one of the Master of Masters' apprentices (alongside the Foretellers) from Kingdom Hearts χ. He reclaims his Keyblade after Xehanort's defeat and summons his fellow Foretellers.
He is voiced by Hōchū Ōtsuka in Japanese and James Patrick Stuart in English.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He helped The Master of Master intact his plan to destroy Daybreak town and turn all of his friends into vessels of Darkness. He did this by taking the Master’s Keyblade and passing it down so that the Master could see the future and be able to make a plan. This is a unique role in the plan because without Luxu passing down the Keyblade, the Master of Masters wouldn’t be able to see the future or time travel.
- He stood by and let the Keyblade War happen and didn't interfere.
- He possesses the bodies of multiple people, stealing their lives so he can continue to live for hundreds of years. It hasn't been explain what happen to original bodies hearts, but there are two possible possibilities.
- Luxu fused his heart with the body owners hearts. Erasing their existent.
- Luxu overtaken their body with his will and use their body until they are old then change to another body. Even if owners bodies return to their original age before Luxu takeover, They would lose most of their friends and family through natural cause by then. Leave them depressed for the rest of their life.
- When he took the form Bragi, he was a student at Scala ad Caelum. When Baldr reveals he was corrupted by darkness and plans on killing all the students, instead of stopping him, Luxu fakes his own death and allows Baldr to kill almost every student there. This is especially heartless given they were his classmates and his lack of remorse proves his friendship with them was probably not genuine.
- After faking his death, he decides that Master Xehanort would be useful to use. After Xehanort inherited the Master’s Keyblade, he decides to get close to him to manipulate him into starting a second Keyblade War by pretending to be a fool who wants the Keyblade. Throughout most of the series, he is Xehanort’s right hand man, which makes him culpable in most of his schemes.
- He helped Xehanort manipulate Terra into using the Darkness so he would be easier to possess.
- He helped Xehanort betray Ansem the Wise and together they experimented with the darkness and on other people; including Subject X.
- As Xigbar, he was the only one who knew about their hearts regrowing, and alongside Xemnas, they planned to turn all the members into vessels for Xehanort.
- He, alongside the rest of the Organization, tried to turn Sora into Xehanort’s final vessel.
- He, along with Dark Riku, tried to kill Sora and Riku during the Keyblade War.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is genuinely loyal to the Master of Master’s despite the scale of his plan and follows all his orders despite them making him feel uneasy and desperately wanting to see him again
- He cares for his fellow Foretellers and is upset when he hears that they will become vessels for the Darkness. He also desperately wanted to see his old friends and missed them.
- He is an Anti-Villain as he believes that what he does will save the worlds from Darkness and opposes the Darkness. He only goes so far due to believing that the Master of Masters will fix everything in the end.
- He is horrified by the Master of Master’s plan to sacrifice his fellow friends and the entire world and believed that it was too much. And he only reluctantly went along with the plan due to having no other choice at that point.
- His loneliness waiting for his role to be fulfilled, and missing his Master and friends are played for sympathy.
- He respected Brain and went out of his way to save him from the collapsing data world by sending him to the future.
