LQ Pictures[]

Could you please not use screenshots from a low quality, illegal streaming site? It's nice that you're willing to help out with images, but everything you've done so far is going to have to be redone at some point.

I'm not sure if there's a legal global streaming -- but if there isn't, download the series if you really want to add pictures. Also, the 99 series is 4:3, not 16:9, so all the pictures you've been uploading from the 99 series are the wrong aspect ratio and will need to be fixed. XScar (talk) 16:10, June 2, 2013 (UTC)

...what. You can't "increase" the quality of the original video by upscaling the resolution. When the original DVDs are 640x480, no matter what resolution you upscale it to, the true resolution is still 640x480. The pictures are still LQ, though. Simply being at 1080p does not make them higher quality. Please realize this. Do you not see how pixelated and blocky your images are? Let me show you.

Here's an image you uploaded. The aspect ratio is nearly correct -- a 4:3 ratio should be 1440x480. I might've let it slide if the quality wasn't so terrible. Even if you kept the picture at 480p, it still would look bad.

Then we look at mine which is a 640x480 picture, like it should be. The Hunter x Hunter DVDs are 480p, like all DVDs, so you cannot magically make them a higher resolution -- especially when you're using some LQ stream. Simply taking a fullscreen picture of the video doesn't change the fact that the video is a low resolution.

So what would my picture look like if I upscaled/resized it to 1080p like you're doing? Here's the image upscaled. You might want to say that's higher quality, but it's not. It's still the same pixel density as before, but now the image has a larger filesize and is noticeably more pixelated and blocky. It's silly to do something like this when we know the true resolution is 640x480.

So I'll continue to replace your pictures until you fix this. This has and is one of my main goals at this wikia -- correcting low quality pictures.

In fact, for the first musical, it's the full version and for the second there were parts which were cut out. The problem is for the second musical, it is redirected to the page with the lyrics for the full version. What should I do(or can you deal with it)? We must change "Musical Hunter x Hunter-Nightmare of the Zaoldyecks" to simply "Musical Hunter x Hunter" and then I'll create a page for the second musical's song.

Don't worry. I'll wait^^. Where I live, it's winter and summer here is not so hot. The temperature is mild and its an island(can go to the seaside!). However, because of health problems, I may have to go to China next week and do acupuncture and with electricity! It's scary! I don't think it's that bad but it hurts. It's my mom who wants me to do that because she is worried about me. I have really bad luck this year. I got a disease called '"Bell's palsy" and my mom is really worried that I can't recover(it would be really bad especially for a girl). Also, Chinese people are confident in their ancient medicine. I say so even if I'm Chinese but I have the luck not to live in China(I don't really like how the children there study so much).

We don't need to explain the cover pages because they are self-explanatory and are simple; they don't have deep meanings. You don't see bookstores explaining the covers of books, do you? So, do we really need that section?

I also decided to remove them on my own because you didn't respond to the message I posted on the talk page of Chapter 1. If you want to prevent me doing this in the future, reply to my messages next time.

And a professional-looking wikia has to have a cover page section? What is your basis? The One Piece wikia?

I've never heard of someone commenting how unrelated the cover page was to the chapter itself because after all, it is just some picture to, I don't know, maybe serve as a cover of a chapter? Hi OnePieceNation. Regarding your recent page add "Fortress (G.I card)". The other cards mention this card, but it isn't part of the official spell card list. I had this problem with some others cards when I was creating the G.I card pages. The description that was already given, didn't match with any names from the list. I figured out some of them and changed the descriptions to match,.. but do you think there's a chance that 'fortress' actually refers to "Castle Gate"? It's the only card that seems to fit? Are you an Atheist(just like my mom) then? As for me, I'm Catholic. However, I'm not fully into it 'cause my mom is atheist but I still believe in it. I don't think that loving yaoi is bad(in my opinion) but I really don't talk about it here because people really do not like this. I think that there's no law here against gays, etc. However, there's still some discrimination about it. You can't donate blood if you're not heterosexual because of transmission of AIDS. Wtf!? Luckily, there are people protesting. There's also something that my friend told me but I don't know if it's true. People say that we got flash floods because God was angry as there was a gay marriage which took place. It's kinda funny, isn't it? We're not even sure whether there was actually a gay marriage. I think that all of this does not matter, we're all equal. I'm a fujoushi so I'm not against those things. By the way, is it ok to talk about those stuffs here? Regarding the SnK wiki, I am perfectly fine with it, since, like you said, admins should talk it over themselves. The One Piece wiki, however, is a different matter. It's not like I don't wan't to affiliate our wiki with them (the more affiliated wikis, the better), but I'd like to know what kind of problems that the One Piece wiki can occur in Hunterpedia. warning: a life lecture is up ahead, lolz.

i like to consider you a friend (because if you werent i wouldnt bother to write this).

dont drag your beliefs here ,because if you (an admin) do it, other users will do the same, and they might start debating with you on it, and you can't say to others that thier beliefs are wrong, atleast not in here, they aren't children, they chose it because they believe it to be right, and when you come out and bluntly say "everything you believe in is wrong" you're going to seriously piss them off, imagne the years they spent living with thier beliefs, going to whatever place they go to pray, do whatever they do for thier god etc...

i really know how you feel, being pissed off because you think others are wrong yet you cant convince them of it, but you cant convince everyone that they are wrong. sooner or later you are going to live with that, as much as you like to sound and believe to be right, others are no different.

not to mention that things like this can be used against you by other users, users who want to be admins, users who want to trash this wiki. i hope you're not angry with what i said and please take this as a friendly advice.

I was surprised you already made a rule about the Blog Posts when the topis has just begun for only a few days. I don't mind it much since I've seen more blogs which aren't related to HxH at all.

Whenever you add photos to the galleries, please make sure you place captions underneath. Even though it is repetitive, that's okay as long as the galleries look organized. Manga images[]

I removed them since the tabs in the Infoboxes and the Appearances don't match. Take Kite's page for example. When you switch the tabs in 2011 and 1999, the images in the Appearance section correspond to the image in the Infobox. But when you switch it to manga, the Appearance section shows no image. It looks a little disorganized. Anothe example is Illumi's page. He has many tabs on the Appearance section. Hello,

I noticed you are an admin in this hxh wiki, so I would like to give you a proposition of mine. Since your name includes OnePiece, I believe you are familiar with the fan-based non-cannon website shipoffools, in which fans create their own characters and abilities in the respective universe. I would like to suggest we created something similar about the hxh universe since the manga series are taking too long to be made and the fans are many in numbers and fond of contributing to the hxh world. This wiki would include non-cannon characters and nen abilities of all 6 sorts.

I hope you like this idea, and if you do, please discuss it with other admins so as to make it real. Personally I have many ideas for it.

Linking Overviews[]

Hey I noticed you were leaving links on the Overviews for the 1999 season on the names and places etc. I don't think they need this since the Synopsis all ready has the links.

I personally think the links are too much. Like what Berserk said, summaries already have the links. The characters are already listed in the Characters In Order of Appearance section so there's no need to add them. It just makes the article full of links and somehow I think users who add too much links only do it for additional edits. The 2011 episodes are fine just the way they are. I am very grateful that some users have actually added references into the characters' articles and it would only be a matter of time until we've completed this project. One more thing. Gantz wiki is different from HxH. It has more chapters than HxH but Togashi's manga is more popular, all thanks to the anime. Please do not be offended. Badge Owner List[]

It seems like a nice idea, but the point of users hiding their badges is so that people can't know that they have a certain badge, by doing this you're letting everyone know who earned what badge. It's their right to hide their badges. What I suggest is that if a person refuses to be listed then he (or you for that matter) removes his username from the list and the slot stays unknown. Misunderstanding and questions[]

Hello OPN. There is Death Note series whose episodes I got from my friend's brother and he got from someone else whom I don't know. I was able to watch those episodes both subbed and dubbed with on/off facility. Those episodes were of less file size around of 63 Mb with good quality. If I had any problem understanding the dub, I quickly switched to sub. So, my point is that, do know any website where I could download an anime I wish to with less file size having subbed and dubbed both facility? And thanks for those recommendations. I already know some of them. So, if want to give any recommendations, how about hentai because I also love watching hentai. And lastly there is some questions that I would like you to answer.

Edit conflict occurs in Gon's image gallery[]

Hey there OPN. How's it going? Quite a time huh? Also happy belated 21st (or 22nd?) birthday to you. I was planning to wish you but I was having my exams going on here, so I was unable to do so. Okay now to the topic.There is some problem in the uploading process in the Gon's image gallery whenever I try to upload his images. An edit conflict occurs everytime at the end of uploading process of the images which asks me to copy some wiki text and to paste it into edit mode by providing me two options - "Visit edit mode" or "View current seetings of page". There I paste the text into the template in the source mode. After that the image appears in the gallery, but the problem is that it happens everytime whenever I upload the images. Is it just me or others have the same problem? Hey there OPN! Can you tell me why the Forum section is so messed up? I mean the comment facility, kudos and stuff? I imagined that the forum will be lot more alike than the blog posts or even better with the addition of kudos. But after seeing it, I feel a little disappointed. Is it under construction or something? The forum which I visited of Bleach wikia is real good. I also want our for forums to be like them or even better! So, what do you say? If you say I’m wrong, I suppose I’ll have to back up my claims since I’m on the opposing side of this argument. Like your about said, I should list the reasons why I edited the wiki as I did and give you evidence to back up my claim on why I think you’re the one on the wrong and you’ll hopefully you’ll become educated.

Why I edited the Alluka wiki as fixing the pronouns from male pronouns to female pronouns because Alluka is a girl. How do I know such a thing? Am I one of the Hunter x Hunter creators? No, I am not claiming as so. I’ll be taking quotes from the wiki entirely because that will be the simplest and quickest way. Wikis are not always correct but a quick way to gain information and can be easily edited, as I did, but for the sake of time, I’m not going through chapters of HxH to get the evidence that has already been cited in the wiki.

Continuing on to the main point of this message, Alluka is a girl. She’s a girl because Killua, the wiki describes him as “the closest brother of Alluka, specifically states that Alluka is a "girl" and refers to Alluka as his sister multiple times. This inconsistency can be explained by Killua's intimate and understanding bond with Alluka, hence he would know and care that Alluka is mentally female,” says she is. If he’s the closest in relationship with Alluka, why would he being using female pronouns and terms for her? Because that’s who she is and Killua accepts her as she is versus their other family members who don’t. A few examples of their nasty behavior are from the wiki yet again, “Two of Alluka's brothers, Illumi and Milluki, refer to Alluka as their brother.”, “versus Illumi's cold and dehumanizing attitude towards Alluka.”, and “Her father, Silva, when talking to Killua about her, refers to her as an 'it'.” What I don’t understand is why you’re choosing the people who are clearly purposely misgendering her and don’t even treat her as human, only desiring her power really, over the person who’s closest to her and cares about her than everyone else in the family. Is it because she’s biologically male? News flash, when you purposely go against someone’s gender identity, you’re being transphobic. Did you know people can have a different gender than the sex they were born with? Amazing! Sex is the genitalia you were assigned at birth with while gender is what you identify as. Alluka may be biologically male but she’s a female because that’s what she identify as. All in all, you and a majority of the Zoldyck family and the people who say Alluka is male and keep insisting that she’s male are being transphobic. Being transphobic is just wrong and gross and transgender people along with the other copious amounts of genders that are out there that don’t identify with their sex assigned at birth are not going away anytime soon and will never go away. How dare the minority getting representation in media.

Also, why would the people subbing the anime with the newest episode today use female pronouns when referring to Alluka if they knew she identified as male? I know anime subbers make typos and such, but they would only refer to Alluka as female once but in the episode, they use female pronouns for her.

Moving on since you brought up the Neferpitou gender debate too with your reply about me editing Alluka wiki, “No he isn't just like pitou.” Neferpitou doesn’t have a gender. They’re not human and animals don’t have a concept of gender like us humans do. Just because they’ve some sort of visible chest in the anime, while in the manga it’s flat, does not make Neferpitou a female along side with the feminine comparisons like “a mother protecting their young”, Neferpitou positioned like the Virgin Mary. Since there’s not enough concrete evidence with what pronouns Neferpitou prefers, the default would be to use them/they/their(s) pronouns, which are gender neutral pronouns. It/Its pronouns are also gender neutral but are normally derogatory and used in a dehumanizing fashion.

I think gender and sex are used interchangeably on this wiki. The article is clear enough about the gender dispute, I don't think it needs any change. On a side note, I can imagine Alluka being insecure about his/her identity, as he's being locked up in a room forever and therefore has barely any human contact to have role models to imitate.

I'm sorry I forgot to explain myself, so now I will. I changed Alluka's pronouns to female on her wiki article because Alluka is a girl and it bothered me very much how you completely ignored all the canon proof there is of this simply because she was said to be born male. Killua states that she is female and needs to be treated as one, she uses female pronouns when talking about herself and the only people calling her as "male" are Illumi and Milluki, which despise Alluka and are rather cold and uncaring towards her. In the "Gender confusion" section, you are basically saying that she is biologically male and psycologically female, which means that she is transgender, in case you did not know. I hope I do not come off as rude or annoying to you, but I am simply stating that there is much more evidence of Alluka being a girl than a boy, so for the sake of "consistency and convenience," the wiki page should rather use female pronouns to address her instead of he/him pronouns, or at least use legal gender neutral pronouns (they, ze, xe, etc). I hope you take my opinion and that of many more people who think the same way as I do in consideration, and give me permission to clear the misunderstanding on her article about her gender and pronouns. I feel as if the way it is now, it comes off as rather transphobic and it shouldn't be that way. Personally though, I think Togashi wanted Alluka's gender to be up to the audience to decide. As such, whether Alluka is a girl, boy, or trans etc etc will be subjective. What the Alluka Zoldyck article aimed for by using male pronouns was consistency because Alluka's the fourth son right? Hmmm.. maybe we should use gender neutral pronouns there after all. And change Alluka's gender to unknown, because it is kinda unknown.

Hello OnePieceNation, I was wondering why you removed the Chapter 325 page 18 section from episode 141's page. It had material that was adapted in that episode. At the end of chapter 325 and on page 18 there is a chart that reveals Leorio's standings in the election and in episode 141 that chart is adapted into the episode, it's a little after the opening. Episode 140 ended with Piyon telling people to tune into the election, which is also in chapter 325 page 18. So is it alright if chapter 325 page 18 is added back to episode 141's page? Can you please edit neferpitou under Featured Article on the front page. On its official page on the wiki its gender is classed as unknown because we don't know, but on the front page it's refered to as a male. Please fix.

Why become bureaucrat? Being in the wiki everyday does not qualify an individual as one. Yes, you have done much for this wiki, but if you want that diamond badge, then start editing articles. From what I have seen, your contributions these days are only replies in forums, which do not qualify as "contributions" in the wiki. In my opinion, the quantity of edits doesn't do justice, but the quality does.

The other admins, yes, I would probably message them whether they still want to be admins or not. I honestly thought you would have recommended RumblexRumble as admin; I would have agreed to that, but bureaucratic rights because you want that diamond badge is out of question.

One more thing, I have seen the edits wars regarding Pitou. Although your decision was right to protect the article to prevent more counter-editing, it is not very nice to use words as "What the hell do you think the two of you (as semi-experienced editors) are doing..." No, no, we cannot be that aggressive here. Approaching and warning contributors should be taken smoothly. And the request of adminship in the Hunterpedia talk: Administrators, yeah, be more cordial to others next time.

I noticed your summary in Episode 137 (2011). It is a great wall of text. I also told this to Rumble when summarizing plots: you do not have to type word per word. You do not have to indicate that Ging said this and Pariston replied that, and then Cheadle interrupted with... All you have to do in the summary is to list out the important details. The Zodiacs are 12 characters, but all of what they are saying is actually relevant to the synopsis. Some of them might just be complaining (maybe Piyon, Cluck, or Kanzai). i think there's a mistake on Isaac netero's background , and that's what make me join the wikia

Who says that Netero was in mid-sixties when he fought Maha Zoldyck ? there's nothing like this in manga or anime , and it doesn't make any sense anyway , cause we all know that Netero was the strongest nen user 50 years ago , and Zeno said : " he's the only human to have ever fought my grandpa and lived to tell about it ." This means that Isaac lost or did not win against Maha , and it's possible only in one case : the fight was before netero trained in the mountains and become the strongest nen user .

Perhaps someone could say that Isaac was not strong enough to fought Maha at that time , my reponse will be : Netero also went to the dark continent before training in the mountains.

Which episode was Ichirō Nagai replaced with Banjō Ginga as Chairman Netero in the 2011 anime?[]

I'm really curious to know exactly what he stopped voicing him. What it said on Netero's page as very vague (Ichirō Nagai 2011-2013 and Banjō Ginga 2014). Insead of that I want to see what episodes they were in. Nagai started voicing Netero in episode 6, I just want to know what was the last episode that he recored (it should look like this, Ichirō Nagai 2011 series Episodes 6-???). I also want to know which episode Banjō Ginga started voicing him and also when Netero died (it should look like this, Banjō Ginga 2011 series Episodes ???-???). I haven't watched the episodes in Japanese (I prefer dubs anyway), I can't read the Japanese credits, and I not good with telling apart Japanese voice actors (telling apart English voice actors is easier for me). Toonami will be airing the 2011 version of Hunter × Hunter on April 16 and I've been working on the show part that was created on the Toonami Wiki. In the Hunter × Hunter page on the Toonami Wiki, it shows the voice cast with both English and Japanese voice actors. When the dub goes up to Netero, what should I do for his Japanese voice actors? Well you clearly seem to have missed some episodes friend, those people have been absent for well over a year and thus Darkchylde has demoted them, you haven't edited an actual article since September 2015 and only talked in the forums, I see no problems with you becoming a bureaucrat either since you're actually here but you better get back to work if you want to.

I see no rules stating that there can only be 1 bureaucrat per wiki and I've more than payed my dues and I'm currently the only active admin here while the current bureaucrat herself states that she's out for 4 months.

Also I would like to bring to your attention to something that concerns the both of us:

Now I don't know about you but I'm not a fan of me being the only current active admin and then being demoted after Darkchylde's 4 months of absence.

You made your points. Now I will give mine:

1. An administrator's job is not just "daily participation in games". It doesn't make Hunterpedia any more worth-reading with its plot, characters, etc. If I were to delete all the games in the forums, what's going to be your purpose in the wiki then?
2. It's not your prerogative to tell me that you would only edit because you're a "big jobs user". During my four months absence, some big events happened in the manga. For example, Hisoka vs Chrollo. That was what the majority of the fans was waiting for! Dude, I was losing my shit when those chapters came out. I was itching to make edits, but unfortunately, I didn't have the means and the time. Another example, Kurapika joining Oito's entourage. That was a major move for Kurapika, especially with other Hunters (Biscuit, Melody, etc) in the picture. Where the fuck were you when those big events happened? If Togashi doesn't do anything for the next five years, then what's your worth as an administrator in this wiki?
3. I am not giving in to Olive's "whining". I am an administrator and a bureaucrat, positions that I suppose you barely know the meaning since you have been one of the most inactive members here. Due to those positions, I am trying to be open-minded and considerate of everyone's opinions, because I have had enough of that stupid Alluka forum that's only filled with insults and name-calling.
4. What happened about Olive reporting you was not my business. It happened between the two of you, and I was in hiatus back then.
5. Yes, we have made a conclusion long ago. Unfortunately for us, someone pointed out information from the manga that we have missed. And Olive presented it in a professional manner.
6. Then again, your conversation with you Ind-Japanese friend happened two years ago. Live in the present, OPN. It's almost 2017.
7. Though you're entitled to your own opinion, calling someone "mentally unstable" equals to bullying. Let's say the information in Olive's document was not entirely true. Have you seen the amount of information and scans from the manga he used? Could you imagine how long that you've taken to make into one whole piece? I am a writer myself, and putting that much text is exhausting. You could at least give him the kudos for his hard work (unlike a certain administrator that I know).
8. Yes, the conclusion happened years ago, but more and more people are coming right up with the topic. As admins we could at least address their concerns professionally.

Since I honestly think you don't understand[]

I want to note, because tone is not conveyed properly via text, that I'm being genuine in saying I don't think you understand. While I certainly can't say I like you as a human being and I will not pretend otherwise because it would be a stupid lie, I don't think you're some sort of cartoonish villain. So I'm going to sit here and type out my thoughts and hopefully you will understand my actions as another human being on the other side of the screen and not the baffling strawman you've tried to turn me into. 

I was upset about slurs was for multiple reasons. I'm going to ignore all the absolutely horrific things you have said about me in the interest of actually trying to explain to you what the issue is. I'm going to ignore that Dark repeatedly used the correct pronouns for me when speaking to you, and not pursue the fact that you somehow did not notice this and used the wrong ones.

Slurs are not just words. Slurs are words with a history of being used violently against minority groups - these are words that, while they may not have originated as hateful terms, have become hateful terms. They are associated with violence and hatred, and even using them in "innocent" manner can be devastatingly negative. While there have been efforts to reclaim some slurs, and there has been some success on these fronts, the fact remains that you are not a member of the minority groups you were repeating slurs for.

You (and the person who created that video) threw around the word triggered, because the proliferation of a false definition of what the term means ("I got my feelings hurt") has completely overpowered what it actually means. When someone is triggered, it means parts of a traumatic incident have been brought to the forefront of their mind. This can come in many forms. For me, it is the textbook flashback. At first I was completely fine - this did not remain the case as the situation escalated.

I'm not going to share details of my past, because I don't want to think about it. I don't want to remember the things that happened to me. I am going to say that the violence I have suffered in the past heavily involved people calling me that word, telling me they would cure me of it, threatning to assault me in every way. Not "random guy on the internet". People who knew where I lived.

It was you saying that words didn't hurt if there was no intention to hurt behind them that caused the issue. Because that forced me into a state where I couldn't distance myself - all I could think about was why any mention of a slur could hurt someone, and as a result my own experiences. I'm not going to talk more about that.

All I have to say is, I gave you every indication that I considered that word to be unacceptable, and you continued to use it while tacking on other slurs in some misguided attempt to prove it was okay if you weren't using it as an insult. In the moment, I felt I was not stepping out of my bounds to report you.

I don't believe in holding on to things out of pride when I know I'm in the wrong, so I'm going to say it right out - my actions in reporting you were rash. I can see this in retrospect, and I do apologize for that. I shouldn't have done it. I should have waited on a response from another admin. My emotions in that moment were justified. My actions are a bit of a different matter. I wouldn't agree that it was an overreaction, but it was an action that was better off not taken.

I said Rez was being transphobic because they were repeating transphobic rhetoric word for word (the exhausting idea that kids can't know their gender identity doesn't match the one that was assigned to them at birth). SuprK said  "I'm a proud transphobe" - this was not a baseless accusation. As soon as I explained the actual definition of transphobia, SuprK said they were transphobic. I don't know if you actually read over that conversation, but I'm not exaggerating in the slightest.

I'm paraphrasing since I have no interest in going back through that thread. SuprK admitted to being proudly transphobic. Rez told me to "keep it to myself" that I was transgender, which has some pretty clear implications that I feel are pretty undeniable. I don't feel that me noting transphobia when I saw it was out of place - you don't have to be trying to be violent or hateful to be doing something transphobic. You don't have to be overt about a prejudice to be exhibiting it.

Maybe this is clear from my document, but I do understand Japanese. I've offered ample evidence from the text and translated it myself. As I stated, I had three other translators look over the document to approve my translations. You "got the gist of it", but if you only skimmed it and read portions of it, I hope you'll understand me feeling you have no right to dismiss something you did not read in full. I transcribed the manga scans so that even someone who doesn't know a damn bit of Japanese can slap it into Google Translate and get the basic idea. You stated that you don't understand Japanese, but I gave you all the tools I could to confirm my translations.

You've yet to refute chapter 322. Your opinions on Togashi's intent are all well and good, but I have textual evidence indicating that Alluka's gender is not meant to be ambiguous. You have the statements of the villains of the arc and consider this to be deserving of equal standing, ignoring the context of the series. Alluka's page currently even states that Killua's perspective is overwhemlingly likely to be correct and that the others referring to Alluka as a boy are most likely doing so out of their "cold and dehumanizing attitude" towards Alluka. Yet the pronouns have not been changed, which is utterly baffling and nonsensical to me. No one is saying "get rid of the documentation of the conflicting gender indications" - at least no one that I've seen.

I don't want the "gender ambiguity" section deleted. I think it's important information to retain, because this is something that's been contended before. Documenting it is important - that's why I documented the evidence for both sides in my Google doc. The debate on that can rage all it wants - I've offered boatloads of textual context and statements from Japanese fans. Again, I've compiled the evidence for both sides of said debate, not just the ones that "fit my narrative". I'm willing to even translate every single comment in every thread I linked, whether they agree with me or not - I really don't want to, because it's a stupid amount of text, but I will do it. That is how confident I am in this matter - the overwhelming consensus from Japanese fans, who are reading the Japanese version of the series, is that Alluka is a transgender girl. I've covered all the arguments people have offered - literally every argument I have seen, I have countered using the text. But if you only read the beginning of the document, or skimmed it, I guess you wouldn't know that. There's a damn good reason why I felt you were being dismissive of me, and I trust that you can understand it without me spelling it out. Because I don't think you're an idiot.

No one has been able to actually refute my counters - you keep repeating that it's rehashing the same thing, even though it isn't since I've introduced points that you've ignored. You've offered no defense against my points that I couldn't shoot down, again using the text, and neither has anyone else. No one has offered anything besides "we don't know what Togashi meant", even though according to just the title of chapter 322, we do know. Again, no one has offered anything to refute that, including yourself. I just do not understand how this one-sided discussion has continued when no one is countering my arguments with anything of any substance - no evidence is being offered.

All I have wanted from the start is for Alluka's pronouns to reflect the pronoun she uses for herself, as I feel this should be considered the most accurate course of action. Olivemeister (talk) 13:59, October 19, 2016 (UTC)

Featured Wiki Videos[]

Hey OPN I was approached by a representative of the Fandom Community Team who are interested in adding feature videos to the Wikias and we were considered to be one of those wikia's. The message I was given is posted below so what are your thoughts on it?

Hey RumbleXRumble. I'm Julia from FANDOM's Community team. By now you may have seen our announcement about Wiki Modernization and how we're using featured wiki videos to reduce the number of ads on the site and improve the performance of all FANDOM wikis.

As we move forward we plan to have wiki videos in many communities, with HunterXHunter wiki being a candidate for videos. If you are interested in which video types we might use you can find some great examples in this blog post. We are working on several ways to involve users in the video creation and script writing process. If we start producing videos we may reach out to you, other admins, and users if we think you can be involved in the production. At that point we will provide further information.

Kite's Pronouns[]

I've tried to talk to Darkchylde about the issue but it's been a week already and she has yet to respond, so as the second most senior admin on the wiki I've come to you.

When someone brought up the issue of Kite's pronouns on Kite's talk page, I got into a rather long-winded debate regarding the matter with another user with me posting the last reply, and after more than a month, they have yet to respond. Since they were so quick to do so beforehand and seemed as engaged in the debate as I was, the only conclusion I can come to is that they were unable to argue against my points and decided not to reply at all instead. As such, I would appreciate it if you could read through the discussion and come to your own conclusions on the matter, so we can finally reach a consensus on what pronouns to refer to Kite by. Exactly my point. If he was simply transgendered, I would say that his stance on the matter was insignificant, but the fact that he was male at some point in his timeline throws the sentiment into question. Never the less, as a wiki, we should seek to give an impersonal representation of these characters in a factually accurate manner, and since Standard English Language Convention states that pronoun usage is determined by one's biological gender, not personal identity, I do believe that Kite should be referred to by female pronouns after his transformation.
