Nereid was a tall, well-built woman with long, flowing reddish-brown hair. For her Hero uniform, she wore a form-fitting blue and beige bodysuit with armored plating on her shoulders, arms, and hips. Her face was initially partially obscured by shadows, leaving only her wide, confident smile visible but she used to wear a same visor mask.
The name Nereid originates from Greek mythology, referring to the Nereids, sea nymphs who were the daughters of the sea god Nereus and the ocean goddess Doris.
The Nereids were known as benevolent spirits of the sea, often depicted as beautiful maidens who aided sailors and heroes, such as Odysseus and Perseus.
They symbolized calm seas, protection, and guidance, contrasting with the more dangerous and wrathful deities of the ocean.
