Archimedes Quincy Porter is a major character of the Disney's 37th full length animated feature of 1999 Tarzan and one of the main characters of the Disney animated TV Show The Legend of Tarzan.
He is Jane Porter's father who ventures into the African jungle to search for and study gorillas. In the 1999 version, he was voiced by the late Nigel Hawthorne in the original film. In the TV series The Legend of Tarzan, he was voiced by Jeff Bennett. In the 1999 video game, he was voiced by the late Val Bettin.
