Snaking Sword (Japanese: 巳年の神蛇の剣 Sword of the year of the snake) is a weapon skill in the sword category which debuted in Fire Emblem Heroes; it is a personal weapon of the New Years variation of Tana. Snaking Sword allows allies to warp near the user; and when its user initiates combat or is near an ally, it boosts their stats, boosts the damage they deal, and reduces the damage the foe deals.

centered on unit × 3, + 5 (max 14), deals
damage = 20% of unit's Spd (excluding
area-of-effect Specials), and reduces damage
from foe's first attack by 20% of unit's Spd
during combat ("first attack" normally means
only the first strike; for effects that grant
"unit attacks twice," it means the first and
second strikes).
