Berserk (Japanese: バサーク Berserk) is a recurring status effect which first appeared in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. In most games it appears in, it causes the unit to lose control and automatically attack the weakest unit within their range, regardless of whether that unit is an ally or an enemy of the unit.
Data
Game | Icon | Effect | Activation | Capacity | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Genealogy of the Holy War | -- | Unit automatically attacks the weakest unit of the same affiliation at the end of their phase. No effect when inflicted on a player unit. |
-- | -- | Lasts for 4–6 turns. |
Thracia 776 | Unit cannot be selected. Unit automatically attacks the weakest unit in their range, regardless of affiliation, at the end of their phase. Unit can be attacked or captured by any other unit, regardless of affiliation. Unit gains no experience. |
-- | -- | Due to a glitch, berserked units with Sleep, Silence, or Berserk staves will only have their targeting altered to target units of all affiliations if the first enemy unit in the load list is Berserk and alive, or Berserk at the time of death and their data has not been overwritten by reinforcements; Berserking such staff users directly will have no effect on their targeting. | |
The Binding Blade | -- | Unit cannot be selected or rescued. Unit automatically attacks the weakest unit in their range, regardless of affiliation, at the end of their phase. Allies of unit cannot counterattack against unit. Unit gains no experience. If unit attacks an ally, the ally gains no experience from that combat. |
-- | -- | Lasts for 5 turns. |
The Blazing Blade | -- | Unit cannot be selected or rescued. Unit automatically attacks the weakest unit in their range, regardless of affiliation, at the end of their phase. Allies of unit cannot counterattack against unit. |
-- | -- | Lasts for 5 turns. |
The Sacred Stones | -- | Unit cannot be selected or rescued. Unit automatically attacks the weakest unit in their range, regardless of affiliation, at the end of their phase. Allies of unit cannot counterattack against unit. |
