Ruffian

Ruffian is an enemy-only class that appears exclusively in TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga and TearRing Saga: Berwick Saga.

Overview[]

In TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga, Ruffian is first encountered in Map 3 where a group of 3 Ruffians attempts to attack the village, a role that does not change on later maps they appear in. Ruffians have very low stats across the board and can easily be killed by any unit.

In TearRing Saga: Berwick Saga, the class is essentially a fusion of the Thief and Horseman classes. It can use knives and has the Thief movement type while dismounted like the former, but can also use bows and has the Light Cavalry movement type while mounted like the latter.

Trivia[]

• In Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem, a semi-generic boss called Ruffian appears in the prologue. Despite his name, he is not part of the Ruffian class, but rather, the Barbarian class.
• The Ruffian class made its Fire Emblem "debut" in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. In this game, they are essentially an enemy-exclusive version of the Thief class. However, they are much weaker, have no class skills, and are exclusive to the prologue.
