Quest page layout[]
Is it possible to have this page layed out like the fallout 3 quests page? Ie a table with all the quests location, giver,xp etc info on one line. It's much easier to follow imo. I'd try myself but am not sure how to use the fallout 3 template. Here is the fallout 3 page. http://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_3_quests Thanks 86.174.209.126 10:23, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
so whats the basic story? any info on that at all?
The above request has now been actioned. Thanks. 86.178.72.138 04:41, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
subject[]
You are shot in the head left in a ditch because they wanted your package. Then you are fixed up by the doctor in the nearest town, Goodsprings.
Main Quest and Ending[]
The main quest better be longer than FO3's and the ending better be good too because the fact I had to start over again without Broken Steel was bad!
PREPARE FOR PISSED OFFNESS
The game ends after you finish the main quest, no post game exploring or anything, just a new game.
Ok Im at the mission where you have to retrieve the platinum chip but the waypoint points to a dock in cottonwood cove. How do i proceed??
There have to be a Legion guy. And you have to take the Ferry to the Legion Fort.
The main storyline[]
The main storyline is not necessarily the "The house always Wins" one. You can either help NCR, the legion , Mr.house, or install Yes Man.
They all separate with which faction likes you and which one not.
Does that mean if you choose to follow Mr Houses quests you can't do any of the NCR quests?
Missing Quest[]
Article is missing the quest: The White Wash.
Given to you by Lt. Boyd at McCarran if you ask multiple times about missing soldiers.
-Added it. For some reason it wasn't listed here although the page for it exists. I added it to the NCR side quests and it linked up with its page.
The list is also missing Birds of a Feather. The page for this quest exists, however the Quests section does not list it. Thank you in advance for adding it.--€;-£ 21:29, April 19, 2011 (UTC)
Songs[]
Should it be noted that literally every marked sidequest is named after a pop song? --70.72.172.87 06:18, October 25, 2010 (UTC)
tom lehrer is hardly pop.
Game Ending Quests[]
The final choice on a single faction must be made after the player floats up the B-29...(or immediately after the first choice if you have already completed Volare! previously). After completing the quest Volare!, the next step is to report to Caesar's Legion, Mr. House, Yes Man, or the NCR that the boomers will assist... Which faction the player reports to locks the player to that faction for the remainder of the game.
I dont think this is right, cause I finished the Quest Volare! and told the Ambassador, that the Boomers will help the NCR. Until now im free to join the other factions. I think, the Wild Card:Side Bets Quests is the one which binds me to a faction. I tried this. I finished the quest, and the legion becomes hostile instantly. I'm not sure, if this is right, but i think its worth checking. -91.89.46.225 17:11, October 25, 2010 (UTC)
I agree. Completing Volare! didn't lock out the factions, it is the next quest after that (and that quest depends on who you are choosing) Obmckenzie 20:33, October 25, 2010 (UTC)
Location sort?[]
Should the quests also be sorted via location as well? Obmckenzie 20:32, October 25, 2010 (UTC)
Nellis Air Force base unmarked quest[]
There's a little girl with a name(not mini-boomer) at Nellis that asks you to find her misplaced teddy bear. haven't found the bear yet.Dr. Lobotomy 16:50, October 26, 2010 (UTC)
- It's in the hangar with Loyal if you're still wondering where's the bear. Kschang 04:34, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
Reputation?[]
Should the quest pages indicate how completion of the quests affect reputation with various parties? Middyiddy 10:06, November 6, 2010 (UTC)
Evil Old Ladies[]
Umm, so after reprogramming Fisto, I was randomly attacked by three old ladies wearing pre-war spring dresses, Malevolent Maud and whatnot. I searched the wiki but there's no mention of them. Did anybody else experience this strange occurrence?
This is do to Wild Wasteland?
The answer is Yes!!
One for my baby.[]
Wouldn’t One for My Baby be better listed as a Novac quest rather than a companion? Boone doesn’t need to be your companion to do this quest, in fact you cant recruit him as one until after its done.
Random opinion: All companions have their own individual quest, the fact that you have to complete this quest to get Boone to follow you makes this quest unique to him.
Someone messed with the quests page[]
Someone has changed the quest names of a bunch of linked quests and rewritten some inappropriate(albeit rather amusing)parts of the main New Vegas quest page. Could some with the proper privileges (Rollback I think) fix this. --The Board of Education 19:36, November 27, 2010 (UTC)
Template Modification[]
For New Vegas, seeing as all (Except companion quests and Wild Card quests) are named after songs, could the song reference be included in the template for these? Pog 12:40, December 1, 2010 (UTC)
Clarifying data points needed?[]
1. For each NCR sidequest, it would be great to include the town in parenthesis next to it. It would really make some lives easier.
2. Under Great Khan quests, the same should be done as with NCR mentioned above. Same with the Powder Gangers quests. (Caesar's Legion too, I suppose)
3. Is getting Mick the Omerta to buy his goods again an unmarked question not mentioned?
4. Crazy, Crazy, Crazy, and One for My Baby could be put under Black Mountain quests and Novac quests, respectively, with the name of the companion in parenthesis. They are not necessarily companion quests, but a companion is a reward. The companion quests really refer to quests that change your companion. For Auld Lang Syne is an exception since it is started by your companion.
5. On that note, isn't giving Lily Bowen her medicine or determining that an unmarked quest?

Points for quests[]
Does anyone understand how the system of points or ratings for quests (e.g. 3/5) works? It would provide a better explanation on the wiki if the quest main page said that (unlike earlier Fallout games) such a system exists and if each quest explained how each score is awarded.
Has anyone cracked open the GECK to properly get all the quest details, or is it only from play throughs?
Completing all 4 storylines ?[]
Is it possible to follow the 4 storylines up until the final quest or do they lock you in one faction once you've made a choice ? In a RPG kind-of-way, I'd like my character to follow NCR, Legion and Mr. House main quests (while wearing faction armor so they don't shoot me), but then I'd screw them all at the final quest and do it at my advantage.
Follow the 'yes man' quest line, that is the independent one.
Not possible After a certain point. Quests like wrath of Caesar and Dont tread on the bear prevent this. Also, sign your posts 98.201.58.192 00:40, October 19, 2011 (UTC)epic
Followers Quests[]
Shouldn't there be a separate place for The Followers of the Apocalypse quests? It's kinda confusing putting the quests each in a different place. Lone Wolf21 23:34, December 19, 2010 (UTC)
Caesar's Favor?[]
I know it's not a hard quest, but shouldn't it be on the page?
I Put a Spell on You[]
This quest should be added to the Legion side quest section as Vulpes will start the quest at The Fort and it can be played as a complete Legion quest from start to finish.
Quest interdependency chart/table?[]
Would there be interest in a chart or table that showed all of the interdependencies between the quests? At a minimum, I'd like to know that when I complete quest A it makes quest B impossible and quests C and D easier/harder.
For example, Heartache by the Number, You Can Depend on Me, Birds of a Feather, and Tend to Your Business are all inter-related through the Van Graffs. I'd love to have an "at a glance" chart or table that showed that they are related to each other, so I know to look into the detailed descriptions to understand how.
I'd be willing to help out, though I have yet to complete the main quest.

Quest page locked[]
Why is the Quest page still locked? I know it was vandalized back in November, 2010, but the entire page needs some serious redesign. --Mairondil 06:23, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
Mr. House[]
Should You Know It When It Happens be added to Mr. House's quests, or should it be considered part of The House Always Wins? C0RNF14K35 12:19, March 10, 2011 (UTC)
Quest Page Updated?[]
Hey recently I saw the quests page was re-designed (poorly I might add)
All the side quests are no longer organized like they used to be and it's rather confusing.
Can I get any information on this?
- Actually, all the side quests where ordered by the factions. You will now notice that in the table for side quests there is a header for reputation, this will now represent the same thing as faction. Also the table is sortable, so those wishing to view it differently can have the option to order the quests in a different manner for the other headers as they wish. All that is required is for the tables to be populated with the required information and it will show a lot more detail and be a lot more flexible. 02:28, March 12, 2011 (UTC)
- P.S. If you want you can help add the information, otherwise it is going to take a long time for me alone to add all the details.
- Oh my bad man. I'm sort of new to editing and stuff, but I've been using Fallout Wiki for a while. I'd happily help you out, but it seems like the Quests page is locked and unable to edit. Symptomatic 02:59, March 12, 2011 (UTC)
- A big thank you to Nemerian, who filled out most of the information from the quest pages, it should all be working now. 21:11, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

I added the Honest Hearts quest table and filled in most of the info. Also do you think we should make a seperate table for companion quest. Seems like they should be seperate.--RAM 19:01, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
Missing quest: Pressing Matters[]
Pressing Matters is not on the list.
The list is also missing Birds of a Feather.
- Both quests are listed under "Side quests." -LawdyMissMaudy 01:56, August 28, 2011 (UTC)
- I added Birds of a Feather a few hours ago. Pressing Matters was already there. Jspoel 02:26, August 28, 2011 (UTC)
There are certain "quests" listed under Unmarked Quests, which I don't consider quests at all.
These are the quests I consider unworthy of their name:
- A Bit of Slap and Tickle
- Access Powers
- All Fired Up
- Big Winner
- Cajoling a Cudgel
- Defacing the Humble Stone
- Democracy Inaction
- Eddie's Emissary
- Flogging a Dead Corpse
- Gland for Some Home Cooking
- Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
- I Love Bananas
- Meeting an Equal
- Papers, Please
- Powder to the People
- Brotherhood Bond
- Playing on the Old Joana
- Caching in at the Cove
- Exhumin' Nature
- Razzle Dazzle!
- Reach for the Sky, Mister!
- Rest and Resupply
- Ringo's Caravan Rules
- Rotface's Loose Lips
- Short-Term Treatment
- Smooth-Talking Criminal
- Strategic Nuclear Moose
- Straus Calls
- Strip Search
- Thought for the Day
- Tourist Traipse
- A Trusted Aide
- We Must Stop Beating Like This
- We Must Stop Meeting Like This
Most of these quest just focus on a single actions, like talking to someone or unlocking a door (and finding what's behind it). Many of the pages listed above are small, incomplete, and use a lot of spoken language. Some pages are double too. Also, over half of these pages are not added to the FNV Quests page, making them rather hard to find. What I want to see is some clear (and enforced) rules about what is considered a Quest and what is not. --I7Grendel 19:20, October 19, 2011 (UTC)
Old World Blues Quests[]
Lol, it would seem that when on a quest for Old World Blues, and you are in the Mojave Wasteland, the quest markers that appear on your compass point to some random location near the HELIOS One facility. ;D SilencedSouls 19:43, November 18, 2011 (UTC)
- Confirmed, I was wondering what the **** was that quest arrow pointing to. Kschang 17:18, April 9, 2012 (UTC)
What Constitutes a Quest?[]
A lot of people have different "definitions" of a "quest".
Isn't there a geck definition of what a quest is? THAT should be the real definition. Nothing else should count. Sure, some quests are simple / frivolous, but if it's a quest in GECK, it's a quest.
And what is the DEFINITION of an "unmarked quest" any way? Just that they don't show up on the map?
Kschang 00:51, April 28, 2012 (UTC)
- The GECK indeed tells us what quests there are. And an unmarked quest is simply one that is not displayed in the Pip-Boy. --Skire (talk) 00:53, April 28, 2012 (UTC)
Also, the official game guides list unmarked quests. 00:54, April 28, 2012 (UTC)
Lonesome Road add-on quests[]
The quest progression for Lonesome Road quests is inaccurate. The table shows it as follows:
However, the Tunnelers actually isn't flagged until the end of the Divide. The table needs to be corrected to the following:
I've already updated the quest pages to reflect that, however I'm not sure how to correct the table.
