Behind the scenes[]
The text of the history kiosk appears to have been taken directly from the intro of the Wikipedia article for the United States of America, as it was sometime around early 2008. This would explain inconsistencies with lore, as Canada had been annexed by the United States and Russia was part of the Soviet Union.[Non-game 1]
