Detailed walkthrough[]
Fight and destroy the newly blossomed strangler heart, stationed on a nearby stone outcrop.
When damaged, the heart will close, summoning alternating waves of strangler mirelurks and strangler feral ghouls. While closed, the strangler heart is immune to damage, but re-opens once its minions are defeated. Once it re-opens, it releases a massive cloud of toxic gas which deals 30 radiation damage, tapering over distance, so it is best to keep some distance from it when it makes this discharge.
- At 95% health, the heart will summon two waves of mirelurks.
- At 75% health, the heart will summon two waves of feral ghouls.
- At 50% health, the heart will summon two waves of mirelurks.
- At 10% health, the heart will summon two mixed waves of both feral ghouls and mirelurks.
Once the strangler heart drops to 25% health, it will summon a powerful boss creature, either a strangler mirelurk queen or a strangler Grafton Monster.
The event completes when both the strangler heart and summoned boss creature are finally defeated.

Bugs[]
- It is possible to one-hit-KO the strangler heart as soon as the event starts, before its armor values are assigned. This will cause the event to lock up and stop progression, ending in failure by time-out.[verified]
- Very rarely, the strangler heart will not reopen after the enemies are killed, though the notification announcing its reopening will still appear. This, too, will cause the event to fail, as there is no way to force it to open.
