For the same clothing appearing in Fallout Shelter, see BoS uniform (Fallout Shelter). |
The BOS uniform is a piece of clothing in Fallout 4.
Characteristics[]
The uniform is comprised of three sets of standardized clothing. There are three different variants of this outfit, including orange, olive green, and jet black. The BOS uniform allows armor pieces to be worn over it, but it may not be modified at a workbench. All three variants have the same defensive stats, weight, and value.
Locations[]
- The orange-gray variant is sold by Proctor Teagan. It is worn by The Scribe and by Paladin Danse who wears it under his power armor and can be obtained through trading.
- The olive variant is worn by Clarke and random unnamed Brotherhood soldiers.
- The jet black variant is worn by Paladin Brandis any time he is encountered outside the Prydwen, specifically during the quests The Lost Patrol, Precipice of War, Airship Down and Ad Victoriam. It may also be found on Brotherhood soldiers during The Battle of Bunker Hill.
Notes[]
- The bomber jacket is a separate piece of armor that consists of the orange uniform with a brown leather jacket.
- Maxson's battlecoat consists of the black BoS uniform with a heavy leather coat worn over it.
- This armor has an associated headwear item, the BOS hood, which is also seen in the Fallout 4 intro, used by a United States Army soldier before the Great War.
- Also referred to as underarmor, this item is mentioned in the Fallout: The Roleplaying Game Rulebook and in The Art of Fallout 4.[Non-game 1][Non-game 2]

Form-fitting suit meant to be worn while operating power armor. It has a variety of hard points and attachments for interfacing with a PA frame. This suit isn't necessary for using power armor for short stints, but it facilitates more comfortable long-term use (and has less risk of chafing)." - ↑ Fallout: The Roleplaying Game Rulebook p.125: "Originally designed as the underarmor bodysuit for the T-45 Power Armor system. The bodysuit’s surface is covered with an assortment of interface ports and connections to connect the wearer with the Power Armor frame, over it. The Brotherhood of Steel employ these as the base of their standard uniforms, ensuring that as many of their personnel as possible are ready to wear full armor. In battle, the uniform is normally worn under other armor if Power Armor is unavailable, while senior Brotherhood officers often wear a bomber jacket or armored battlecoat over their undersuit."
