Evangelion Unit-02 Beast "G" Mode (エヴァンゲリオン2号機 ビースト“G”モード, Evangerion Nigōki Bīsuto "G" Mōdo?) is an Evangelion unit appearing in the Godzilla vs Evangelion collaboration.

The Beast form of Evangelion Unit-02 after injecting the G Cells[1] into itself and the G Cells being activated. An orange dorsal fin grows from the back alongside the limiters, and the eyeball on the right side of the head is exposed, sharp teeth grow in the mouth, and the jaw opens wide up and down and it roars. When G cells are activated, it sources the Evangelion energy without any previous limitations. By using nuclear energy, it will pursue the enemy without control until it is completely annihilated.[2]

Development[]
It was initially developed[3] as a 30cm PVC figure developed by PLEX and TOHO announced on 30 August 2016[4] for as February 2017 release. The setting of an Evangelion taken over by G Cells and mutating was the initial idea. [5] A renewal reprint with different colors was announced to on pre order on 27 October 2023.[6]
It was also featured as a playable unit in the mobile game Evangelion: Breaking Dawn.
On 23 December 2023, it was also featured as part of the [PC11] BS Premium Card Set Godzilla vs Evangelion in the Battle Spirits collaboration.[7]
