"jar !"
- Lightning_Splash
The Tip Jar is a secret item in DOORS that was officially added to the game as part of the 2024 Trick Or Treat Event (previously only obtainable via exploits[1]). When the "Trick Or Treat" Modifier is active, the Tip Jar has an extremely small chance of spawning after consumption of the "Prize Inside" Candy.
It is a semi-transparent empty jar with a white label that reads "TipƧ" (likely due to Jeff not being able to write properly).
Notes[]
- Currently, the Tip Jar can only be obtained using the "Trick Or Treat" Modifier, using the Candy "Prize Inside".
- It is also obtainable through the Admin Panel.
- It is also obtainable if the option "Free Item" is voted with Stream Integration. It does exactly the same as the candy.
- The Tip Jar was technically added in The Backdoor Update, however, the only way to obtain it was through exploits.
- Players could obtain it by progressing until Jeff Shop closed, by triggering Rush or Ambush while the room was active. Then, activating a disabled ProximityPrompt (interaction) in Jeff's Tip Jar would give them the item.
- Jeff Shop no longer closes after the Floor 2 Update, so this method to obtain the item is no longer possible.
- Players could obtain it by progressing until Jeff Shop closed, by triggering Rush or Ambush while the room was active. Then, activating a disabled ProximityPrompt (interaction) in Jeff's Tip Jar would give them the item.
- Currently, the Tip Jar, for some strange reason, can't be rifted in Guiding Light's rift, but it can be rifted in Curious Light's empty rift.[2]
- After rejoining the game or teleporting to another floor, the Tip Jar in the rift transforms into a Lighter.[3]
- Before the Floor 2 Update, the Tip Jar could be rifted in any rift.
- When rejoining, it transformed into the secret Evil Dollar, which caused the player to die to Anti-cheat Ambush instantly if they tried to get it.
- When there is an item inside the rift, if the player interacts with this rift while holding the Tip Jar, the player will obtain that item, but the one inside the rift won't disappear; this basically means items can be infinitely duplicated. This is a bug.[4]
- The Tip Jar's appearance is identical to that of the Tip Jar present in Jeff Shop.
- The Tip Jar has no functional purposes, since pressing the button to use it won't do anything.
- The Tip Jar might be a reference the Roblox game, Pls Donate. Pls Donate has a collaboration with DOORS around the time the Hotel+ Update came out.
- The probability to obtain the Tip Jar when using a "Prize Inside" Candy (or when "Free Item" is voted with Stream Integration) is (5%), as the possible items the Candy can drop are 20, including the Tip Jar.
- Only a single Tip Jar can be held at a time per player.
