"Oye... if the water turns black, RUN AWAY hombre! It's dangerous!"
- El Goblino
The Sewage Pipes are a location within The Sewers. They are where the second Mines Seek chase takes place.
Overview[]
The Corridor[]
The Sewage Pipes begin with a long sewer corridor, which has been observed to occur between rooms 169 and 177. When the player reaches the end, the Queen Grumble will emerge from a hole in the ceiling behind them and roar at the player, only for Seek to appear from a hole punched in the wall, blocking the Queen Grumble behind rubble in the process, before chasing the player. Alarms begin blaring for the rest of the chase.
4-Way Corridor[]
The 4-Way Corridor is the first and third room in the sewage pipes. It consists of an octagon shaped room with 3 possible exit doors, with Guiding Light lighting up the correct door. This room is very similar to a type of room that can appear in the hotel chases.
- Unlike other rooms in the chase, the "Gone Fishing" Modifier will actually remove guiding light in this section.
Two-Way Tunnels[]
The Two-Way Tunnels are the second room in the chase. It consists of a large room with two long tunnels at the end. The Queen Grumble will emerge from behind one of these tunnels, and force the player to go through the other tunnel.
- Specifically in this room, the Queen Grumble can kill players if they run into it.
Sewage Tunnels[]
The fourth and final room in the chase begins with a large, open room, with a sewer channel containing Seek's slime in the middle. Players must run over wooden boards floating on Seek's slime to traverse the channel. A metal door grate blocks the way into a series of smaller, twisting tunnels, which the player must break down by interacting with to proceed. The Guiding Light guides players through the tunnels by way of particles with a blue wind effect. At times, The Queen Grumble will appear in front of the player, only to be blocked by broken grates and rubble, with Guiding Light guiding the player down another path. At one point, The Queen Grumble will appear pursuing the player down an inaccessible tunnel next to them. More door grates will also appear and have to be broken down.
At the end of the tunnels is a final door grate leading into a circular room with a smaller, gated reservoir in the middle. Players must run around the reservoir before concluding the chase at the door on the other side.
Removed Content[]
Prior to the Content Update, this chase took place from Doors 195-199, starting at the same ravine as the chase in the Caverns. This version of The Sewage Pipes had three main repeating sections.
Wooden Board Bridge[]
The Wooden Board Bridge room is a room flooded with Seek's slime that the player must go over with wooden board platforms. This room still exists in the updated chase, but as the start of the 'sewage tunnel' section.
Sewage Tunnels[]
The Sewage Tunnels are a pipe segment where the player goes through a large pipe and must sometimes make sharp turns left or right.
- Looking both ways is recommended in this room as sometimes Guiding Light is vague about which direction to go.
- Sewage Tunnels rooms have the chance to be extremely short, without a single turn
- Bring a spotlight is also helpful
Pipe Water Storage[]
The Pipe Water Storage is a segment where the player jumps over gaps in small pipes
- There are a total of two jumps in this section.
- Upon falling in this section, it isn't an instant kill, but instead you will stand on a platform at the bottom. There is no way to get back up. You will die when Seek runs over you or reaches the next room.
These segments repeat in order until the player reaches Door 199, which is a standard Sewer or Mines room leading into The Dam.
Tips[]
- This Seek chase was nerfed in The Content Update; Guiding Light now has a current which should accurately point out where to go. Stay in Guiding Light’s current.
- Spam 'E' (spam the button if on mobile) when you’re near a gate to open the gate as fast as possible.
Trivia[]
- The counterpart of The Sewage Pipes, the first Seek chase, takes place in The Caverns.
- The Sewage Pipes are rooms in The Sewers, respectively.
- The Sewage Pipes are shorter than The Caverns.
- The old version of The Sewage Pipes included the ability to jump, just like The Caverns chase. As of The Content Update, this is no longer the case, as the jumping mechanic has been replaced with the Grate Doors in the sewage tunnels.
- Specifically in the sewage tunnels room, the Queen Grumble cannot kill players by normal means, due to the rubble hitbox blocking it. However, it can kill players if they use the admin panel to noclip out of bounds, and go up to/touch it.
- The Queen Grumble can be seen waiting in the hole in the ceiling of the starting corridor.
- This is easier to see with a Spotlight, however its silhouette may be seen without any light.
