Toad Tower is a frightening castle located far beyond in the mountains of Wartwood Swamp, where the fiercest toads reside. It originally served as home to the cruel warlord Captain Grime.

Background[]

Toad Tower was described as a rather scary dark castle and according to Sprig Plantar, the toads that live there are the bravest, fiercest warriors and served as the home of Captain Grime and temporary home of Sasha who was originally a prisoner there until she became second-in-command.

Physical description[]

The Toad Tower is a castle made of stone bricks and surrounded by a mountainous region, comprising of snow-capped mountains and ravines. There are many barren trees seen surrounding the tower and its walled exterior. The tower is built atop a rocky cliff with one leading pathway connecting it to the mainland, serving as its only entrance.

Appearances[]

Season One[]

"Anne or Beast?"[]

Toad Tower doesn't actually appear in this episode, but it could be seen on a map showing all of Wartwood Swamp.

"Best Fronds"[]

It makes a brief cameo near the end while Captain Grime is talking with Sasha who is held in his dungeon as he interrogates her on knowing there are more humans in Amphibia after finding a shoe that belonged to Anne.

"Prison Break"[]

The castle has its first full appearance where a couple of giant herons attacked Toad Tower and nearly destroyed it but were stopped by both Sasha and Captain Grime.

"Reunion"[]

After Anne and Sasha are reunited, the toads invite the people of Wartwood to a feast at the tower. However, Sasha reveals to Anne that it was actually a trap and the toads were planning to execute Hop Pop, who had unknowingly sparked rebellions across the valley. After the frogs learn of the plan, they attempt to escape via a sewer network, but get captured upon exiting. One-Eyed Wally later blows it up by using a dozen boomshrooms which causes most of Toad Tower to fall apart therefore, forcing Grime and his army to leave.

Season Two[]

"Toad to Redemption"[]

After One-Eyed Wally blow up the tower with a dozen boomshrooms, it is rebuilt and gets a new named Bog.

"Barrel's Warhammer"[]

It was revealed to be 4 towers (North, South, East, and West), with the Toad Tower being the South Tower.

"True Colors"[]

To show a demonstration of his power, King Andrias used the music box to power a laser cannon that annihilates the North Tower (though the toads there managed to escape), much to Grime's devastation.

Season Three[]

"The Hardest Thing"[]

Toad Tower is seen during the credits but is still abandoned and cover in some flora. It is unknown what became of the other towers.

Trivia[]

  • Toad Tower is actually revealed to be one of the four towers (East, West, North, and South) in the Toad Army with Grime's tower being revealed as the South Tower.
  • The tower is seen in the Sasha's Theme Song Takeover.
