Synopsis[]
Summary[]
It's Peg vs. Pete when she wants to save a miniature golf course he wants to tear down.
Plot[]
Pete explains his ambitions of his new car emporium much to his family and Max and Goofy's boredom. Their boredom turns to excitement when he tells them that he bought the Goony Golf miniature golf course next door. Many Spoonerville residents have memories of playing there, so Peg proposes to keep the golf course open, but Pete wants to demolish it and boasts that he was a miniature golf champion in his younger days.
Peg, Pistol, PJ, Max and Goofy work through the night to restore the place. Pete laughs at their scheme to make money from Goony Golf, but after a day's work, Peg and the crew are able to earn $500 from a crowd of happy Spoonerville residents. Nevertheless Pete still wishes to demolish it, claiming that golf is not good for health.
Determined to save Goony Golf, Peg and the crew try every method they can raise money to save the golf course from destruction, while Pete becomes unpopular with the Spoonerville residents over destroying the memorable place. Peg manages to raise the money to buy the property from Pete, but a mishap with Chainsaw angers Pete that he refuses to sell the place and commandeers the assigned demolition worker's tractor.
Before Pete can destroy Goony Golf, Peg momentarily stops him with Pete allowing them to take only souvenirs as remaining memories of the place. Goofy comes across a picture of Pete when he was a boy doing terrible at miniature golf and being laughed at by his school class.
Peg is able to goad Pete into doing a miniature golf match against Goofy to win a trophy. With a remote control ball and some creativity, Peg and the crew are able to ensure that Pete wins all three holes. Declared a winner, Pete has a change of heart and decides to continue running Goony Golf in addition to his "honest" car sales.
