Moana: A Homecoming Celebration

This is the first attraction to be opened as part of the park’s multi-year expansion from 2018 to 2023.^[3]

History[]

On November 22, 2016, the Walt Disney Company and the Hong Kong Government announced plans for a multi-year, HK$10.9 billion^[4] expansion of Hong Kong Disneyland. The proposed expansion includes World of Frozen, Stark Expo, Castle of Magical Dreams, multiple new attractions, and live entertainment.^{[5][6][7][8][9]}

Show Summary[]

The show recounts Moana's adventures after she restores the heart of Te Fiti (the all-powerful goddess who creates life) and returns to her home village of Motunui. The show is set in an entirely new exotic outdoor venue in Adventureland known as "Jungle Junction" that echoes the architecture and décor of Motunui from the film. Jam-packed with inspirational music, dancing, puppetry and storytelling.
