Moana's Oar is a once ordinary item, turned magical oar, that appears in Moana. It belongs to the demigoddess, Moana.

The oar was once an ordinary oar, but was given magical abilities by Moana's ancestors after she was revived and turned into a demigoddess after breaking Nalo's curse surrounding Motufetu.
The oar grants Moana the ability of wayfinding. To guide the people across Oceania.

Three years before it is given its magical abilities, Moana takes it on her adventure to use as an oar for her canoe, and as a weapon against Maui and the Kakamora. It is during this film that Maui signs a heart and his fish hook onto her oar.

Moana takes the oar back onto the ocean during her adventure to find the lost island of Motufetu. After breaking the curse, Moana was struck and killed by a lightning bolt from Nalo. However, she was revived as a demigoddess by her ancestors and her oar was given a magical upgrade,
