A family is torn about what to do when the empire encroaches on their planet.
Plot[]
The planet Tao has been under watch by the Empire. In order to maintain peace, the citizens have all pledged their loyalty. The rabbit-like Lop, who managed to escape slavery, is found by Yasaburo of the Yasaburo clan and his daughter Ochō who decide to adopt her. Seven years later, Yasaburo creates an explosion as a message to the Empire for their freedom. Ochō is angered by this as she believes that keeping the peace with the Empire is the only way for them to survive. It is soon revealed that the Empire was well informed of Yasaburo's plans by Ochō who has decided to pledge her undying loyalty to them; upsetting Lop who runs back home.
Lop asks Yasaburo for help. He informs her that many years ago, a Jedi came to their planet and passed his lightsaber to the Yasaburo clan. Since then, it has been passed down from generation to generation. He gives it to Lop, who accepts, and then asks her to wait while he goes and confronts Ochō. Knowing that Yasaburo is in trouble, Lop goes to find that Ochō has blinded him during a fight. Lop proceeds to fight Ochō and slashes an X across her chest. Ochō escapes as Lop looks at their family photo, declaring that they will become "a proper family" again.
