Background[]
This woman once had an affair with the pirate Edward Teague and from their union she had his son in the form of Jack Sparrow. Following her death prior to 1729, Edward had her head severed and shrunken with him keeping it in his possession. Years later, the head would be passed on to Jack who kept it in his own possession.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End[]
In this film, Jack Sparrow asks his father, "How's mum" with Teague silently responding by pulling out Jack's mother's shrunken head. Somewhat horrified, Jack goes on to respond that she was looking great. At the end of the film her head can be seen hanging from Jack Sparrow's belt as he set out for the Fountain of Youth.

Throughout this film, Jack's mother can be seen hanging from his belt although her presence goes unacknowledged.

Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar[]
Jack's mother makes a significant appearance in this bar at the Disneyland Hotel. Her shrunken head is on display in a box with a note from Jack addressed to his friend Trader Sam, the proprietor of the Tiki Bar who himself practiced head-shrinking. According to the note, Jack's mother('s head) enjoyed spending time with Trader Sam which motivated Jack leaving her in Sam's ownership. The note reads, "Sam. Rum is on you, heads are on me. Take care of Mum for me. She always loved hanging around in your pub -Captain Jack Sparrow".
