Quince is an alien prisoner in Incarcecon (Null Void). An old friend of both Kwarrel and Kevin, he jogs the latter's memory when he returns to the prison in ...Nor Iron Bars a Cage.
Appearance[]
He is a humanoid alien with vaguely rodent-like features and blue skin. He has long white hair and wears a black jacket with a brown shirt underneath.
Personality[]
Despite being a criminal, Quince is shown to be a justified man with a strong sense of dignity. He showed distaste to the idea of killing the warden and, when given the option to run free, stayed in prison and remained loyal to completing his sentence. He values having friends, but also always follows behind the strongest inmate.
History[]
Six years prior to Ultimate Alien[]
During a flashback, Quince was shown to be hanging around Kwarrel and was one of Kevin's old friends in Incarcecon. He witnessed the young Kevin's rage, and was privy to Kwarrel taking the boy under his wing and helping him control his mutation and powers.
At some point, after Kevin left and Kwarrel died, he starts hanging around Trukk, the "top dog" of the prison.
Ultimate Alien[]
In the present, he encounters a new inmate who takes control of Trukk's position as the strongest, while Trukk was in solitary confinement. Quince tells Trukk not to bother him, but Trukk doesn't listen and gets incapacitated by the inmate. Robotic Guards prepare to take away the inmate, but Quince covers for him and says Trukk only slipped. As the inmate rejects his offer for friendship, Quince thinks there is something familiar about him. He eventually realizes the inmate is Kevin, once again mutated. He reminds him of their friendship, and talks with him about how Incarcecon changed in the 6 years since Kevin left. Kevin reveals that he came back on purpose, seeking revenge on Warden Morgg for killing Kwarrel. Quince tries to dissuade Kevin, but his pleas fall on deaf ears. They almost get to Morgg in the mines, but Morgg uses their prison collars against them.
Quince later follows Ben and Gwen Tennyson as they apprehend Morgg. As they come up to the prison yard, they find that the fighting below has weakened the structure of the prison and cracked a wall open. As all the other criminals run out of Incarcecon into the Null Void, but Quince doesn't bother joining them. When Gwen questions this, he answers that he's "still got time to serve."
