Vengeance was the code name of an Imperial Intelligence cell introduced in the Star Wars: Legends duology Hand of Thrawn.
The group was ordered by Moff Vilim Disra to help destabilize the New Republic in the wake of the Caamas Document Crisis. The crisis was started when remains of a document which stated a group of Bothans helped Palpatine and the Galactic Empire destroy the Caamas homeworld.
Under the command of Drend Navett the group presented itself as an anti-Bothan terrorist group. Vengeance incited a number of anti-Bothan riots along with acts of sabotage. The group used a rare Imperial sniper rifle to set off a deadly riot at the Combined Clans building on Bothawui by making it appear that Han Solo and a Bothan leader had shot at people in a crowd protesting the Bothan response to the discovery of the Caamas Document.
The group sabotaged a section of the Bothawui planetary shield, an action which resulted in Navett's death. The other Vengeance members infiltrated an Ishori cruiser and took control of a turbolaser battery, using it to fire on Bothawui. These other members were tracked down and themselves killed, putting an end to Vengeance.
