They are robotic duplicates of Sheldon J. Plankton who were created by him to aid him with his goal of stealing the Krabby Patty secret formula.
Like the actual Plankton, they were voiced by Doug Lawrence.
Biography[]
In "Frozen Face-Off", Plankton creates a robotic decoy of himself and sets up a race as a distraction so that he can steal the formula without anyone trying to stop him. Later in the episode, SpongeBob and the others find out that the Plankton they were racing was a fake after Patrick crushes the robot.
In The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, SpongeBob wakes up ready for his day at the Krusty Krab. He goes to the Krusty Krab and helps his cheap boss, Mr. Krabs, sell the Krabby Patties for the citizens of Bikini Bottom. Meanwhile, up in the sky, Mr. Krabs' arch-nemesis, Plankton, drops a jar of mayonnaise on the Krusty Krab in pursuit of the Krabby Patty secret formula. This causes SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, and SpongeBob's lazy and dim-witted best friend, Patrick Star, to go to war with Plankton to stop him from stealing the formula. They win and Plankton surrenders after trying to bribe his rival though they are broke. However, Plankton is revealed to have been a robotic dummy all along and the real Plankton is the penny in Mr. Krabs' safe.
In “Plankton Retires”, Plankton uses a robot version of himself as a decoy, sending it to Dullsville to retire, while the real Plankton tries to steal the secret formula. Plankton is stopped by Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob because they also sent robot decoys to the city. Meanwhile, at Dullsville, the Plankton Robot, Robot Krabs, and Robot SpongeBob talk about how they were used as decoys. They complain about them being used in Krabs and Plankton's war against the formula, calling it stupid and saying it's no big deal if Plankton steals it. They become friends and hang out with each other until they explode.
