Phase Two is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Rodgers) of Invincible: Atom Eve prequel comics and its animated adaptation.
He is a clone and sibling of Samantha Wilkes/Atom Eve as one of the experiments of Steven Erickson of Cecil Steadman's Global Defense Agency.
He was voiced by Jacob Tremblay.
Biography[]
The nameless boy was born as a cloned experiment of Samantha Wilkes who was also raised by Dr. Elias Brandyworth as part of Steven Erickson's experiments, where he and three younger children (Phase Three, Phase Four and Phase Five) were subjected to horrific experimentation and abuse, being forced to remain confined in tubes by Erickson and his right-hand scientist. This would lead to him becoming miserable and hate humans alongside his siblings.
Eventually, he and the other subjects would escape and wreak havoc in the city, leading to Samantha trying to stop them. He has the other clones attack and try to kill Samantha but they are killed one by one. Eventually, when Dr. Brandyworth shows up, he attempts to drop him to his death to spite her. Later, as Phase Two is about to die, he tearfully wishes him and his sister could have had a better life.
Personality[]
Having been cruelly experimented on since birth, Phase Two is extremely vengeful and has an understandable hatred towards his captors, including Brandyworth. He is also extremely envious of Atom Eve due to always being compared to her, to the point he wants to kill her.
He is still a nice kid deep down however, as he cares for his siblings and even as he dies, shows care for Atom Eve and wishes their lives could have been better.
