He is the corrupt, philandering, oppressive, jerkish, arrogant, prideful, perverted, deceitful, and incompetent mayor of Springfield.
He is voiced by Dan Castellaneta who also voices Homer and Abe Simpson, Barney Gumble, Krusty, and Sideshow Mel in the same show and The Robot Devil in Futurama.

Quimby is a tall, overweight middle-aged man. He sports a bark blue suit, red handkerchief and tie, and a white under shirt. He has a mid-Atlantic/Boston accent that sounds similar to John F. Kennedy.
Immoral Acts[]
While Mayor Quimby is the mayor of Springfield, he is notorious for doing some corruption. These include cheating on his wife and accepting bribes. Here is a list of some of the worst things Mayor Quimby has done.
- Krusty Gets Kancelled: Quimby admits to using taxpayers money to fund the murder of his enemies. However with the clever use of Gabbo's catchphrase ("I'm a bad little boy."), he escapes prosecution and was re-elected by a landslide.
- She Used to Be My Girl: It's revealed Quimby has slept with AT LEAST 27 women. Some of the women became pregnant and later gave birth. In And Maggie Makes Three, Quimby is seen in the hospital with one of the women, holding their baby, and panicking when the nurse (referring to the baby's mother) suggested he let his wife hold it. In Bart's Inner Child, he admits that he couldn't commit to a relationship.
- Mayored to the Mob: When Homer Simpson became Quimby's bodyguard, he discovered that Quimby had been making corrupt deals with Fat Tony. One of which was to provide rats' milk to the schools of Springfield. Homer then stopped the kids from drinking the rat milk, but he let Milhouse drink it.
- The Computer Wore Menace Shoes: While the neighborhood of the Simpsons had a pothole, Quimby used that pothole repair money to build his own personal swimming pool. In his swimming pool, there were a bunch of bikini-clad women; This was another sign of adultery that plagued Quimby. Homer exposed this through his own website under his pseudonym, "Mr. X".
- The Simpsons Game: During Mob Rules, Quimby accepts a bribe from an EA executive not to ban the sale of Grand Theft Scratchy to minors and relaxes with the executive in his hot tub.
- The Boy Who Knew Too Much: Quimby resorted to bribing witnesses to commit perjury to keep his nephew Freddy Quimby out of prison when assault charges were brought against Freddy, leading Bart Simpson to observe that "the system works: just ask Claus Von Bülow".
- Lisa the Tree Hugger: Quimby held a secret tree auction, where he auctions off the world's largest redwood tree to the Rich Texan, who plans to cut it down to make the world's first drive-thru humidor.
- Treehouse of Horror VIII (Non-canon): In the first part of the Halloween special, The HΩmega Man, he stood by his ethnic slur towards the French with his "frogs legs" joke. This resulted in France launching a neutron bomb directly towards Springfield. When passing by the Mayor's office, Quimby responded, "I bet I could be blamed for this."
- The Simpsons Game: Quimby becomes embroiled in scandal after accepting a bribe from an EA executive to sell a violent video game to children.
- The Cartridge Family: After a soccer riot spiraled out of control, Mayor Quimby has declared mob rule rather than maintaining order. This was heard from Kent Brockman documenting the city-wide rioting.
- The Italian Bob: One of the crimes listed in the Italian police book was Mayor Quimby driving under the influence (Drink-o Drive-o).
- Little Big Girl: Despite Bart Simpson managed to put out the wildfire around Springfield from Cletus' mistake, his wish for Bart Simpson driver's license was the catalyst for a mischief committed by Bart by cheating a romance with Darcy at North Haverbrook, which sparked an argument between Bart and Darcy in order to have had very bad relationships between engagements after their wedding was intervened by Darcy's parents with Marge's help.
