Biography[]
The Mayor of Albuquerque is behind Howard K. Duff's plan to secretly move Springfield's baseball team to Albuquerque, having secretly tried to buy the team. The mayor allows Duff to use any means to move the team, including allowing Homer Simpson to starve after he discovers the truth and goes on hunger strike.
Despite being the mastermind behind the plan to move the Isotopes, the mayor doesn't appear until the very end of the episode when Homer exposes Duff's actions. Watching the scene unfold on TV, the mayor comments that Springfield has too much spirit for them to take the Isotopes and he'll have to "steal some other baseball team". He then asks how much it would cost to buy the Dallas Cowboys, only to be told that they're not a baseball team, to which the mayor responds by threateningly declaring that they'll play whatever he wants them to, "for I am the mayor of Albuquerque!".
