Lady Danelle Lothston is a minor character in the A Song of ice and Fire novel series. She was the Lady of the great castle of Harrenhal and the head of House Lothston, during the reign of both King Aerys I Targaryen and King Maekar I Targaryen.

Danelle has long red hair and wears tight-fitting black armor.
Personality[]
Danelle Lothston is believed to be a psychotic madwoman and a cannibal, as legends were told that she would send giant bats to kidnap naughty children for her cookpots and bathe herself in blood.
Biography[]
During the Second Blackfyre Rebellion, Lady Danelle rode with Lord Brynden Rivers, the Hand of the King to Aerys I Targaryen, to crush Daemon II Blackfyre's rebellion before it could even begin. During the march, she wore black armor and marched in great strength.
At some point, during the reign of King Maekar I Targaryen, Danelle began practicing the dark arts, which consequently resulted in chaos and madness, leading to the downfall of House Lothston.
Legacy[]
Because of her dark reputation, Lady Danelle Lothston earned herself the infamous nickname Mad Danelle, and she became the figure of scary stories and legends that would frighten children into good behavior. According to legends, giant bats would capture naughty children on moonless nights to bring to Danelle for her cookpots. The latter was also said to bathe in human blood and preside over feasts of human flesh.
