BG-J38 was a bug-headed,[3] yellow-plated[2] J9 worker drone[1] who served in the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure's criminal empire. Within Jabba's Palace, the droid was stationed near the entrance to the throne room.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
BG-J38 first appeared in the original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi,[2] released on May 25, 1983.[4] The Jabba's Palace scenes including BG-J38 were shot in January 1982 at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, England.[5] BG-J38 was created as a puppet with limited articulation.
