The Sapphire is an item and an add-on obtained by synthesizing it at Daguerreo, Black Mage Village (endgame), or Memoria at the Legendary Synthesis Shop for 200 gil, an Ore, and an Antidote. It teaches the abilities Fenrir and High Tide, and when used as an item, restores HP equal to the number of Sapphires in the player's inventory x76.
The more Sapphires in the player's inventory, the more powerful Fenrir's Terrestrial Rage and Millennial Decay abilities are, as per the formulae below:
Eiko joins the party with a Sapphire already equipped as her add-on. Sapphires drop from Drakan, Gnoll, Red Dragon, Eiko (Mirror), and Iron Man, and stolen from Eiko (Mirror). Eleven of them are also found in Outer Island 2 chocograph treasure, and fifteen are found in Cold Lagoon chocograph treasure.

It is dropped by Chukwa, Adze, Gancanagh, Quetzalli, and Minhocao. It can be obtained from the "Targeting the Captain" quest.
